Chapter 181
The company was based in a cowery in Northallver, and after three months of working there. Halley was
unexpectedly offered & precution to becthe manager of the Translation Department at the branch office-
located in Vothaland.
The astigresent could last for several years
The reasoning behind it was that sire Hailey was originally from Wothaland, she would adapt well there and be
better sted for the position than anyone else
The offer cane with great benefits, a pleasant work environment, and a supportive boss who valued her highly.
Hailey had no choice but to accept the transfer.
Fortunady, though the branch was located in Wothaland, it wasn’t in Hallon City. Wothalend was a large place,
with two
different cities, so Halley figured she wouldn't run into that person again.
Additionally, the had been planning to return to Wothaland for stime, so she agreed to the move.
In early June, Hailey arrived in Aduwville.
Achusville was a first-tier city, not much less impressive than Hallon City. She landed at 9 PM, right when the
night life was beginning
However, Hailey wasn’t interested in the nightlife. She was exhausted, barely able to keep her eyes open, so she
found a nearby hotel, checked in, and collapsed onto the bed without even showering.
She woke up at 8 AM the next morning, her biological clock naturally pulling her out of sleep. After a quick
shower, she went downstairs for breakfast.
While eating, Raphael called her.
Over the years, Raphael was the only one Hailey still kept in touch with in Wothaland. At first, Oscar had reached
out too, but over time, that contact had faded.
Hailey had never been particularly interested in young men like Oscar, and he quickly found a girlfriend in

After a brief chat with Raphael, Hailey hung up the phone.
She left her luggage at the hotel and planned to find a place to stay.
Having entered the workforce, Hailey knew everything was now up to her, and she wasn’t planning to rely on the
money Finley had set aside for her.
She had enough in her account, but in a city as economically developed as Achusville, buying property was still
out of reach, so she decided to rent.
Luckily, she had prepared for this. Before returning to Wothaland, she had already scheduled a meeting with a
real estate agent online.
After breakfast, Hailey contacted the agent and arranged to meet.
The agent was a short, young man wearing glasses, with the sharp, businesslike demeanor typical of someone in
the field.
He was quite good at his job, showing Hailey a rental apartment just a street away from her office. The location
was perfect, and the apartment was the right size. After seeing it, Hailey immediately agreed and signed the
contract.
Impressed by her decisiveness, the agent even helped her carry her luggage.

There were two keys-one for Hailey, and the other for the landlord.
100%
The agent explained that the landlord was a wealthy businessman, who probably wouldn't even remember that
he owned the apartment. It was managed by a close friend of the landlord, so Hailey had nothing to worry about.
Hailey was reassured and, after sending the agent off, hired a cleaning service to spruce up the apartment
before settling in.
The apartment was new and looked like it had never been lived in before.
Once everything was in place, Hailey left the building to head to the supermarket for stoiletries, fruits, and
vegetables.
After buying a bunch of items, she returned home. The supermarket was conveniently located right outside the
complex, so she didn’t have to walk far.
Wothaland was sweltering in early June, and by the tHailey returned, she was drenched in sweat.
She put the groceries into the fridge, grabbed her pajamas, and went into the bathroom for a quick shower.
After feeling refreshed, she collapsed onto the bed and took a blissful afternoon nap.
When she woke up, it was already evening, and the sunlight was fading through the large windows. She still had
three days: before she needed to report to work, so these few days were her rare toff.
But by the end of the first day, Hailey realized she had nothing to do.
There was no one she wanted to contact.
As for the Dalton family-she didn’t want to speak to any of them. She had long since let go of the past. As long
as they didn’t provoke her, she didn’t want to waste any energy on them.
Perhaps it was because of the love she had experienced, but her perspective on life had changed. She realized
that life wasn’t easy, and since it was so short, she wanted to live it well for herself.
Scarlett had wrapped up her teaching career and started a new venture-she opened a bar.
Hailey thought Scarlett was a peculiar person. At first, when Scarlett shared her plan for the future, Hailey
thought she was going to open a coffee or flower shop, but she had never imagined that Scarlett would open a
bar.
But it suited Scarlett’s personality perfectly-she was outgoing and loved excitement.
Although Hailey’s three-day break was uneventful, she didn’t go sightseeing. The first day, she spent
familiarizing herself with the neighborhood around her apartment, figuring out the supermarket, subway, and the
rush hours. After that, she had completely settled in.

She didn’t know why, but as she grew older, Hailey becmore of a homebody. Maybe it was because life was
so busy that when she had sfree time, she just wanted to enjoy her solitude.
She could watch videos or play games when bored. In the past couple of years, she had even enjoyed racing, but
now, she had grown lazier. She had lost interest in group activities and extrsports.
She jokingly referred to her change as simply “getting older.”
After three days of being holed up at home, she finally had to go out.
She needed to report to the branch office.
The HR department had already been informed that a new Translation Department manager would be arriving
today, so they were waiting for her at the door. As soon as Hailey arrived, they took her directly to HR to
complete the paperwork.

Afterward, a friendly young woman in 11k took her to the Translation Department.
The department had six colleagues, so with Halley, there were seven people-three men and four women.

After a quick self-introduction, Hailey asked the others to introduce themselves as well. Once everyone was
familiar with one another, she went to her office to settle in.
She still needed to report to her boss.
Her boss was a man in his forties, named Victor Aguirre. He had a round beer belly, looked very kind, and even a
bit endearing. He seemed like someone who would be easy to work with
To celebrate Hailey joining, Victor decided to take the whole Translation Department out for a dinner to welcome
her. It was a fresh start in Wothaland.
