Chapter 180
After giving Finley's name, a server led Hailey up to a private room on the second floor.
When she walked in, a group of people were already seated.
Hailey calmly walked over to Finley and sat beside him, greeting him with a simple “Father.”
Finley greeted her warmly and asked a few casual questions before introducing her to the others.

Seated opposite Finley was a foreign man with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a suit, speaking to Finley in
a foreign language.
Having lived abroad for two years, Hailey had also becquite fluent in the language, but she wasn’t keen on
speaking to strangers.
After a while, Hailey felt someone’s gaze lingering on her.
She furrowed her brows and looked over, meeting the eyes of a young man who seemed somewhat familiar.
The young man was handsome, with striking blue eyes and a refined look. But Hailey couldn't place him.
“I'm Oscar Sweeney,” he said with a smile.
Hailey thought for a moment before recognition dawned on her.
It was the sguy who had stopped her outside the classroom back in Wothaland.
She was slightly surprised.
are you doing here?”
“You two know each other?” Finley asked curiously.
Hailey explained, “He was my junio
back in Wothaland.”
“Really? What a coincidence,” Finley laughed, then introduced, “Oscar is Dario’s son. He grew up abroad, but he
loves Wothaland’s culture, so he returned to study here. He's cback recently because Dayana is having a
birthday, and it looks like fate brought you two together.”
Hailey smiled faintly, “It's indeed a coincidence.”
Dasmiled too. “How about this-let the kids chat while we go handle business?” he suggested.

Finley glanced at Hailey and nodded with a smile. “I agree.”
Daturned to Oscar. “Take good care of Miss Henderson.”
Oscar smiled and nodded.
The adults and their assistants left the private room, leaving Hailey and Oscar alone.
“Your eyes...” Hailey remembered, the last tshe saw him, his eyes were black.
Oscar laughed. “I didn’t want to stand out. | used to wear colored contacts when | was at Wothaland.”
Hailey nodded. “You don’t really look like a mixed-race person.”
Other than his eyes, he didn’t give off a mixed-race vibe.

Oscar smiled gently. “I look like my mother. She's from Wothaland”
Hailey smiled, “Your mother must be very beautiful?
Oscar nodded, not modest at all. “Yes, she is very beautiful”
Hailey smiled.
The two of them chatted casually, the atmosphere light and relaxed.

After a while, Oscar couldn't resist asking. “Hailey, last tat the classroom door, you didn’t agree to my
request. Do you agree now?”
Hailey paused, remembering the incident at the classroom door.
She smiled, took out her phone, and said, “Sure.”
Oscar grinned, and they added each other on WhatsApp.
“By the way, Hailey, are you going back to Wothaland?” Oscar asked.
Hailey pursed her lips, lowered her head, and smiled. “I probably won't be going back for now. I'll finish my
studies here. Maybe after | work, I'll consider returning.”
“Ah, that’s a shame,” Oscar said, though he didn’t push further. “I plan on developing my career in Wothaland.
Once you graduate, you should cfind me. I'll be waiting for you there.”
Hailey was surprised. “But your parents are in Northsilver. Won't you stay with them?”
Oscar scratched his head and smiled sheepishly. “Even though | grew up here, I've always felt like I'm from
Wothaland. I've always dreamed of living there.”
Hailey couldn't help but smile.
“Well, if you're planning to
“Okay,” he replied softly.

in Wothaland, make sure to cfind me,” she said.
As it got late, an assistant knocked on the door and called for them to join the others for dinner.
Hailey and Oscar left the private room to
together.
The group
of five or six went to a la
estaurant.
Hailey didn’t say much and simply accompanied everyone. Oscar, on the other hand, kept asking Hailey about
Wothaland'’s culture and history, making her feel less out of place.
After dinner, the group walked out.
Across the street from the restaurant was Century Square, with several office buildings nearby.
On one of the buildings was a huge screen, displaying advertisements for international celebrities and world
events.
After a commercial, the screen switched to a news clip.
Hailey stopped in her tracks, her gaze fixed on the big screen.
“Recently, Calhoun Group's international president was reported to have fainted during a meeting due to health
issues. He remains hospitalized, and the situation is still unclear. Further details will follow.”

In the past two years, Owen had turned the Calhoun Group into a globally recognized brand, and now he was a
household ninternationally.
The news clip was only a minute and a half long, but Hailey stood frozen in place for three whole minutes.
“Hailey, what's wrong?” Oscar asked.
Hailey’s face had gone pale, and she shook her head. “I'm fine.”
She turned toward Finley and walked over to him. “Father, I'm not feeling well. Id like to go home.”
Finley looked at her for a moment, then nodded and instructed the driver to take her home.
Once back at the villa, Hailey locked herself in her room and opened her phone, searching for news about Owen.
The only headlines were about Owen being in the hospital.
He had been hospitalized for three days.
He was an adult, why couldn’t he take care of himself properly?
Hailey stared at the news, her mind sinking into despair.
It would all pass. They both had to move forward.
Tpassed quickly.
Hailey settled into her new life in Northsilver.
She focused on her studies, and in just three years, she completed her education.
She had once thought about what she wanted to do after graduation. She dreamed of becoming a screenwriter,
and later, a director, to bring her creations to life on film.
But reality had been different.
Hailey didn’t expect it, but after graduating, she beca translator.
She didn’t join the Henderson Group. Instead, she applied to an international company and was hired as a senior
translator.
Although her degree was in literature, her five years living abroad helped her master several languages, and her
outstanding academic performance in school made it easy for her to get the job.
