Chapter 1289 Atticus, the apple of Thalassa’s eye, was now in cahoots with Lysander.
“What's got you so jumpy and giggly, Thalassa?” Evelyn sidled up, craning her neck to peek at Thalassa’s phone with curiosity.
“Messages from Atticus,” Thalassa said, handing over her phone without a fuss.
Evelyn couldn't help but chuckle at the message. “Look at it. That little boy has already turned his back on us.” Before Evelyn could ponder any longer, that white Lamborghini of Lysander’s roared to life behind them, zooming past and coming to a halt with a dramatic flair.
Lysander, arm casually resting on the open window, fixed his gaze on Thalassa, his tone brooking no argument, “No one else is giving you a ride now. Still want to make it to the train station?” He even knew she was heading to the train station! -Atticus must have been tracking her phone all the time. What a little rascal. She’d have to give him a piece of her mind later.
With Lysander around, no one else would dare offer Thalassa a lift.

“I meant both of you!” Lysander’s voice cut through the air.
At his words, Thalassa spun around, her eyes wide with jx fl and surprise.
Evelyn was equally taken aback and wondering if she had misheard.
His presence was overwhelming, a single glance from him enough to send a shiver Evelyn's spine.
“What are you waiting for?” Lysander urged.
Thalassa snapped back to reality.
Lysander stepped out of the car, his towering figure imposing a silent pressure.
Thalassa instinctively shuffled back, caught in his aura of authority.
He cast a deep, searching look her way, his hand reaching out.
Expecting him to grab her chin like before, Thalassa closed her eyes, bracing for the inevitable.

But Lysander snatched it back, shooting her a meaningful glance before heading into the station himself.
Both mother and daughter exchanged bewildered looks.
What was Lysander up to? Escorting them aboard the train? Evelyn mused, “He's not planning to cwith us, is he?” Thalassa’s eyes widened in realization.
That must be it. With Atticus in the picture, finding out which train they were on was a cakewalk for Lysander.
But what Thalassa couldn’t fathom was how Lysander had managed to sway Atticus, a boy who was usually headstrong and principled, to his side.
Thalassa and Evelyn were supposed to sit together on the train, but Evelyn took the initiative to exchange seats with Lysander. Lysander naturally took the seat beside Thalassa.
His overwhelming presence and icy aura made Thalassa edge away, her breath catching.
“So scared of me?” Lysander’s piercing gaze landed on her, his voice a quiet rumble.
