MISTAKE 219

Chapter 219: GOING TO SAVE SOMEONE

Harry may have thought he was not seen, but Mark, who was returning from the toilet, saw him. He glanced at

the tent Harry had cout of with a raised brow and guessed it was Lydia's tent.

By the tLydia woke up, Harry was long gone, which she appreciated. She took her toiletries and a change of

clothes and went to the bathroom.

The rest of the trip was uneventful. When Lydia's mouth sparked fires, her professor would give her a task to

keep herself and her friends busy. She did not have much interaction with Harry throughout the rest of the

camping trip; she had almost thought that the gods of and chaos had forgotten her, but she was soon to

be proven wrong, as the most tic day of Lydia's life clike a storm.

Harry was kept busy on this trip by his professor; she would not let him go, dragging him along to different

places to carry out different activities. Ethan and Mark managed to escape a few times but were not lucky all the

time. It becclear that Lydia had guessed right. Apparently, the business graduate class has been covering

their course work quite quickly, with a majority of them barely moving around. Before the trip, they had just

concluded a long project that needed them to go out and do sfact-finding, but most of them easily got the

information needed without stepping out of their hostels and decided to stay indoors for the rest of the time. If

the business graduate class were like this, there would be barely anything to say about the computer science

graduate class. Their entire workload was done sitting down. They did not need to move or go anywhere; some

of them preferred to listen to their lectures online and not even step out. When their professors heard that the

Business Management graduate class had applied to tag along, they quickly signed up their students too. So, like

Lydia had guessed, it was a vacation that might as well be punishment for some.

Harry had received a call from a private detective he had hired, and he was soon told that the couple he was

following were in the scity as himself. When he got the address, his heart sank. It seems he was right.

"What is it?" Mark asked when he saw his dark face.

"It seems you were right," Harry said, and Mark sighed.

"I had hoped | wasn't. But it is good that we rented the house next to them. That way, we can collect as much

evidence as we need. But how will you tell your aunt?" Mark asked, and Harry went silent. Ethan, who was

usually full of words, kept silent at this moment. "Since he dared cheat on my aunt, he should be ready for the

consequences. "We will take sleave and go to the house soon," he said, and they all agreed. They soon left

the hotel that the school had arranged and headed to the house they had reserved for the night. Chapter 219:

GOING TO SAVE SOMEONE

But on getting there, they were met with an unusual scene. A scene Lydia had been dragged

into.

It was a few days after their camping trip and the last day of their trip. They had only spent two days in camp

before moving into a hotel in town. Lydia had even made a comment about the university saving money on hotel

bills for two days by having them sleep in a bush, but her friends dragged her away before the professors could

respond.

The rest of the trip was spent between group activities for the different art departments. Then there was some

personal time, which Lyda spent painting, therefore having no tfor

anyone.

They had stayed at the hotel for a half day without incident, as they were all separated into rooms and Lydia only

saw her friends. But all good things have an end. She had left the room and gone into town. She had spent a few

hours buying random things and looking around until she spotted a familiar face in town. It was Lydia, the

accounting student. She was with sfriends walking past her. Lydia felt uncomfortable for sreason until

she heard their discussion.

"Which house did they say Harry rented again? Does your cousin know?" Lydia asked.

"Emerson Estate, no. 15. | confirmed it several times," one of her friends answered.

"Good, | will pass the address to James." Lydia answered. Lydia, hearing them talk, felt odd./ She may not have

known Harry well, but she felt he would not like Lydia. Besides, if he really is renting a house today, it may not

have anything to do with Lydia. She told herself it was not her business, and she continued shopping. But as time

flew by, the more uncomfortable she became. She felt she should at least tell Harry what was about to happen.

She had spent her entire life avoiding ; would she just walk into one? No, she was just going there to take

Harry out before he got embarrassed. She knew that if these girls decided he had rented that place for Lydia,

there was no way Harry would be able to defend himself. Her plan was to get there and get him out before

whatever they were planning took place. Making up her mind, she took out her phone to check the directions

before taking a taxi all the way into the estate.

Unknown to her, in front of her taxi in a luxury car, a driver was alerted. He kept looking outside his rearview

mirror at the taxi behind him.

"Madam, there is a taxi following us," the driver informed the woman seated in the back.

"Who? Did you see their faces?" The woman asked, slightly panicked.

"No, but there is a taxi that has been following us all this while. Please put on your seat belt, madam. | will try to

lose them." The driver said that and started driving much faster. But no matter how fast she drove, Lydia's taxi,

which was following the navigation on her phone, was still on track. Making the car in front feel like they were

still being followed. The car drove into the estate and took Amy's turns to get to their home, only to see Lydia's

taxi arrive at the

house next to theirs. The woman at the back took a deep breath and stepped out of the car towards the taxi the

moment Lydia stepped out.

"I have called the police; you better explain why you are following me," the woman questioned Lydia.

"I am here to see someone." Lydia was confused by what the woman was sprouting and stepped aside from her

and walked towards the house. "Move; you are getting in the way." Lydia did not bother with the woman, even

though she had heard the woman claim to have called the police.

"Where do you think you are going?" The woman made to grab Lydia, but she stepped aside.

"Who are you, and why should | be following you? Are you a celebrity? Are you the president of a country or a

mistress hiding from the legal wife because you are so afraid of people on the sstreet as you? Move; | don't

have tfor this nonsense," Lydia scolded, and the woman froze at her words enough for Lydia to step into the

compound. She heard noise from the backyard and walked that way. For a moment, she wondered why this

estate had no security. If it had, this situation would not have taken place, as Lydia would not have been able to

enter the house Harry rented. The moment she stepped into the backyard, she saw the words, Lydia, Marry Me,

written out on a sign and held up by smen behind a man kneeling before Lydia. Chapter 220: Lydia's
