Chapter 25 He Hates You
Just as the tension reached its climax, Edward's housekeeper approached with a smile.
“Ms. Aroma, Sir Caldwell would like to speak with you. Please follow me.”
Charlotte nodded slightly and began to follow the housekeeper upstairs.
But in the next instant, Arthur seized her wrist. “Charlotte, | was talking to you. Didn't you hear me?”
Charlotte turned her head, ready to slap him.
Arthur swiftly evaded and loosened his grip.

“Sir, aren’t you crossing the line? | clearly rejected you in the elevator, yet you keep bothering me. Don’t you get
what I'm saying? Maybe you should read more and work on your comprehension!” Charlotte snapped.
Even with her mask on, her anger was unmistakable. “And who is this Charlotte you keep talking about? Should |
know her? Or have you mistakenfor her? | don’t know her at all. You've got the wrong person. Leave me
alone! Stop being so shameless.”

With that, she followed the housekeeper upstairs.
Diana stood there, stunned.
Was she out of her mind?

Not only did Diana think so, but everyone around them was equally shocked by Charlotte's outburst.
Didn't Ms. Aroma know who Arthur was?
He was the heir of Lanceser’s most prominent family and the youngest head of the Harrison Group.
Everyone figured that after publicly scolding him, her life would take a turn for the worse.
The reputation she had built would likely be shattered tonight.
Those who had previously considered working with Charlotte began to hesitate.
Arthur's face darkened. His eyes glinted

with cold fury as he watched her retreating figure, tugging at his collar.
He gritted his teeth, fuming.
Diana noticed his growing gloom and hurried to explain, “Mr. Harrison, this is all a misunderstanding...”
Arthur quickly returned calm and shot her a cold look. “I made a mistake. Please apologize to Ms. Aroma on my
behalf.”
Diana was confused.
Before she could breathe a sigh of relief, Arthur continued, his voice flat, “However, I'm a petty person. Being
scolded in public humiliated me. Anyone who crosseswon't have an easy time.”
With that, he walked away.

Diana stood there, at a loss.
Edward smiled as Charlotte entered. “Ms. Aroma, you don’t seem to like Arthur, do you?”

Charlotte thought he might have something important to say, but she was caught off guard by his question.
“How did you know that, Sir Caldwell?”
Edward chuckled. “Because | don't like
that guy
either. But he’s good friends with Jayce, and over the years, he’s been the only one who could get close to Jayce.
| know you're avoiding him, so | arranged a car for you at the back entrance. You can leave now.”
Charlotte said gratefully, “Sir Caldwell, thank you.”

Edward said, “You're welcome. I'll be visiting you often for Jayce’s treatment.”
Charlotte smiled. “I'll definitely do my best.”

Once she got into the car at the back door, she exhaled in relief and messaged Diana: [I was pretty cool just
now, right?]
Diana replied: [You're in serious trouble. He hates you now.]
