Chapter 192

“What are you filming? Delete it!” Steven rushed over, wanting to grab Jason’s phone.

Jason dodged, causing Steven to bump into the door.

Anastasia laughed in exasperation at Steven and thought, “He’s so stupid, yet he still shamelessly

makes a fool of himself here.”

“Anastasia, I advise you to think about this carefully.” Naomi got up and looked at Anastasia coldly.

Now that Anastasia had lost her child, Naomi already had no scruples at all.

“Mrs. Lopez.” Anastasia suddenly addressed Naomi as “Mrs. Lopez,” then said with a smile, “Alastor

didn’t tell you, did he? Mr. Lopez is back. Alastor is in the company.”

Anastasia sneered and thought, “You already have much to worry about in your own family. Yet you still

want to come to mess with me.”

“During this period, Mr. Lopez suddenly came back and went to the company. Guess why he came

back? Is it because he misses you and Alastor? Obviously not… I heard that he and Ms. Qualls’ son

graduated from university with excellent academic performance in management, not necessarily worse

than Alastor.”

Anastasia had only heard of Alastor’s half-brother, but she hadn’t seen him before. Anastasia only

knew that the boy was about Jason’s age.

Anastasia’s words were to provoke Naomi, regardless of whether Christian came back to fight over the

company or not.

It was Naomi who didn’t let Anastasia be happy at first.

As expected, Naomi’s face turned extremely pale. Anastasia suddenly froze in the same spot and

looked at Anastasia. “Who?”

Anastasia smiled and repeated, “Mr. Lopez.”

“If you dare to lie to me, I won’t spare you!” Naomi said with her fingers trembling, and her eyes turned

red visibly. Then she turned around and walked out.

Anastasia sighed and thought, “I used to have pity on Naomi and thought it was difficult for her. Her

husband didn’t love her, so she became a grass widow at a young age. Now it seems that there’s

always something detestable about someone pitiable. She has been through something bad before, so

she wants to make me suffer as well. Her mentality was already distorted. Why should women make

things difficult for other women?

“I made some sauteed mushrooms and chowder soup. The doctor said you must eat something light,”

Jason whispered, then naturally took out the lunch box for Anastasia and placed it on the table.

“You went home to cook chowder?” Anastasia looked at the chowder on the small table. He obviously

had been attentive and spent a long time cooking the chowder.

“Yes…” Jason nodded.

“Have you eaten?” Anastasia asked again.

“I… I have.” Jason lied.

He didn’t have time to eat. When the food was ready, he came over in a hurry for fear that Anastasia

would be hurt again if he didn’t look after her for a while.

“I can’t eat so much. Let’s eat together.” Anastasia could tell that Jason was lying. Anastasia looked

around and found no extra cutleries.

“You can eat it. I’ll eat the leftovers,” Jason said casually.

Anastasia was stunned for a moment, and her fingers holding the spoon froze for a long time.

After marrying Alastor, because he had mysophobia, she cooked and prepared all the meals for him

separately. Besides, after she finished cooking, she would wait for Alastor to come home before eating,

no matter how late it was.

If Alastor didn’t tell her when he would be home, she would have to keep waiting until he came back

before she could start eating.

It was because Alastor never ate anyone’s leftovers.

Anastasia took a sip of the chowder and looked at Jason in surprise. “That’s pretty good. Your cooking

is not bad.”

The chowder was cooked just right, almost melting in the mouth.

It could be seen that Jason was really attentive.

“Did you ask for leave today as well? Is it okay if you don’t go to work?” Anastasia had a bite of sauteed

mushrooms, which were really delicious.

Jason looked away, and his ears turned red because of the compliment. Hearing Anastasia ask him, he

replied in a hoarse

voice, “Mm. It’s okay. It won’t make much of a difference to taking a few days off. I have taken a long

vacation these days to take care of you first.”

“How’s your business venture going?” Anastasia looked at Jason.

“Don’t worry,” Jason whispered.

“Oh.” Anastasia didn’t ask much. Anastasia knew Jason had his own dignity, so he probably didn’t want

her to know too much or let her intervene in it.

“I heard that Felicia is in the next ward?” Anastasia asked.

Because they were both in orthopedics, Felicia’s ward was next to her.

They were both in VIP single rooms. It should be Naomi who deliberately transferred Felicia here to

annoy Anastasia.
