Chapter 836: She had always known about Hadley's relationship with Eric, but this-this was different. Blanche had invested in her, mentored her, nurtured her like a rising star. To see that promise dimmed so suddenly felt like a blow.
"Have you really thought this through?" Blanche asked finally, her tone quieter but edged with disbelief. "You've decided to get married, settle down... and stop dancing?" Hadley could only nod, her voice caught in her throat.
Blanche closed her eyes briefly, then exhaled. There was a trace of sorrow in her expression. "Alright. I understand." This was Hadley's life, her decision. And she'd chosen her child over her career. Blanche couldn't force her to stay, couldn't fight a path Hadley had already committed to.

She rose to her feet, her mentor's back still turned.
Facing her silently, Hadley bowed low. "Ms. Nicolson... I'm sorry." As she turned to leave, Blanche's voice followed her like a final note in a song not quite finished. "Hadley, I hope you never look back and regret this choice." Hadley didn't stop. She didn't look back-she couldn't. For Joy's sake, she had made her decision.
Leaving the troupe behind, Hadley made her way to the TV station. Her replacement hadn't been arranged yet, so she still had a few final responsibilities to fulfill.
While changing in the dressing room, a dull ache bloomed in her lower back. She paused, one hand instinctively resting against it. Was this from the pregnancy? The precious child had made Hadley more cautious than ever. Today wasn't a filming day; it was just a planning session to go over the next program lineup.

Hadley handed over her notes and quietly stepped out of the room.

Hadley turned around and saw the producer. "Mr. Fuller?" Alec Fuller gave a small nod and smiled. "Good thing you're still here. You're about to leave, so I'll get straight to it. Have you ever thought about joining the entertainment industry?" It was not surprising.
Hadley smiled and politely shook her head. "Thank you for the offer, but I don't think it's the right fit for me."
"Why not?" Alec waved his hand, his eyes sparkling as he looked at her. "I've been watching you for a while. This program has featured sseriously talented women, but the moment you step on screen, everyone else fades out. You steal the spotlight without even trying!"
Despite receiving such high praise, Hadley smiled modestly and said, "I appreciate that, but a career isn't built on appearance alone."
"It's not just your looks!" Alec leaned forward slightly and continued with conviction. "It's your presence, Sure, the industry has no shortage of pretty faees, but yours is different. You've got something rare. I'm telling you, if you step into the spotlight, you'll go far. People will remember your name."
