over soon. Once you’re better, we can all go home.

The promise of home seemed to calm Mya slightly, and she became drowsy from the medication, her

Nancy asked, “The medication won’t harm the baby, right?”

Oak reassured them, “The medication is safe for the fetus. It’s been clinically tested.”

Relieved, Macey sighed, “As long as the child is safe.”

When Mya woke up, she was already back at the estate, lying in bed with blurred vision. It took a while

As Nancy and Macey walked down the corridor, a menacing figure in black passed by, silencing them

instantly. Their panic was evident, unsure of how much he had heard. However, he walked past

Macey nervously speculated, “He wouldn’t tell anyone, would he?”

Nancy, frowning, suggested, “Let’s wait and see. If something happens, we’ll call Mr. Turner Sr. He

won’t ignore us then.”

That was their only option now.
