'Once Karen quieted down, Linda began her lashing out in a low, harsh voice. "So now you wantto get you out of here after you tried to implicatein front of my son?" Karen instantly grew nervous, seeing the dark look in Linda's eyes. "Linda..." "Shut up," Linda snapped. "What the hell were you thinking? How could you tell Kris that I had something to do with those pictures of Thalassa? How could you betraylike this?" "I'm sorry," Karen quickly said. "I'm really sorry, Linda. It's just that... I was desperate. Kris had called the police on me, so I thought if he knew you were involved, he wouldn't sendto jail since you're his mother." "You're a fool. Now I know even Thalassa has more sense than you," Linda sneered.
Karen was offended but knew she was in no position to talk back.
Linda continued, "How can you try to implicatewhen I'm the only one who could influence my son to get you out of here? I might be his mother, but Kris isn't beyond gettingarrested as well. Do you think I can help you in any way if he does that?" Karen began to realize the wisdom in Linda's words, understanding how foolishly she had acted in her desperation.
"I'm sorry." "Your sorry doesn't erase your idiocy," Linda fumed before saying, “Thalassa chere to file charges against you." Karen nodded. "Yes, she cto see me." Linda's eyes narrowed. "What did you two talk about?" Karen panicked, about to fabricate something when Linda leveled her with a warning.
"Don't lie to me, Karen. You don't want to see the worst side of me." Karen swallowed. "She promised to getout of here if I told her everything, so I told her the whole truth about how you were behind all the schemes." "She promised you that, and you believed her? You really thought she was going to get you out after everything you did to her?” Linda voiced in disbelief. “When did you becsuch an idiot, Karen? I'm starting to wonder if I made the wrong choice between you and Thalassa." A cop was about to pass behind them, so Linda stopped speaking and ran her hand over her hair with a smile.

"Tell me, do you really think you can handle being my enemy, Karen?" Remembering everything Linda had planned against Thalassa-and probably against anyone who got in her way- Karen couldn't help the shiver of dread that run down her spine.
"Answer me," Linda demanded in the scalm yet dangerous voice.

"Good," Linda said. "Now listen up-everything you told Thalassa was nothing but garbagey made up to get her to help you. The only truth here is that I had nothing to do with anything she's accusingof. Is that clear?" Swallowing, Karen nodded. “Yes. But when will you getout of here?”
"I'll try my best to convince my son and see what other connections I can pull," Linda said before issuing another warning. "But even if that but doesn't work out, and you dare betrayagain, the last thing you'll have to worry about is being in jail. Trust me, you don't wantas your enemy, Karen. Because I will crush you. Do I make myself clear, or is your idiotic brain too dense to understand?" "No, no... I understand," Karen said, her voice quivering.
Linda smiled. "Good. Now be a good girl. I chere with Kris, but he ran om off after that womax. He's going to csee you soon, and he can't know that I cto speak to you first. Is that clear?" Once again, Karen nodded without hesitation, the fear evident on her face. Smirking, Linda turned and made her way back to the waiting area.
