Chapter 948
Thalassa could sense the daggers in every icy glare that Charlotte directed her way. A barely noticeable smirk
played on her lips as she recalled the last time Charlotte had attempted to frame her for theft.
It had blown up spectacularly in Charlotte’s face when Lysander, in front of a crowd no less, exposed her ploy,
leading to Zephyr announcing the cancellation of the Sinclair-Ravensong family alliance in a fit of rage.
Yet, here was Charlotte, not even bothering to apologize, instead choosing to throw shade at Thalassa as if she had
any right to do so.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtOn a normal day, Thalassa would have settled the score, but today she was here on behalf of Crawley Group, with
business to attend to. Personal vendettas would have to wait.
Ignoring Charlotte’s provocative gaze, Thalassa’s eyes drifted to the man seated next to her. It was none other than
Richard Draven, the young owner of the Draven Antique Shop.
Richard and Charlotte sitting together? Was he here for the interview as well? Perhaps as Charlotte’s friend?
Ignoring Charlotte’s earlier attempt to engage her, Thalassa seated herself across from them, her smile cool and
distant. She turned to Richard and said, “Mr. Draven, it’s quite unexpected to have your company for the interview
today.”
Richard caught the inquisitive tone in her voice and responded with a slight smile, “The Shop hasn’t been busy
lately, so I thought I’d keep an old friend company.”
His gaze softened as he looked at Charlotte, who seemed oblivious to the affection in his eyes. Her own eyes,
marked with precision, remained fixated on Thalassa, wielding a look that could incite wars.
Charlotte was indignant that Thalassa had ignored her, her privileged upbringing making it impossible for her to
accept such disregard.
The fire in Charlotte’s heart was stoked by Thalassa’s nonchalant demeanor.
Suddenly, Charlotte stood up, towering over Thalassa, “I’m speaking to you, did you not hear me? My engagement
to Lysander might be off, but I’m the journalist interviewing you today. How dare you treat me with such
disrespect!”

Thalassa maintained her composed smile, finally looking at Charlotte and retorted, “Ms. Ravensong, getting this
upset over being ignored, I wonder how you’d react to being falsely accused of theft?”
It was Thalassa’s turn to bring up old scores.
Charlotte’s face flushed with embarrassment, her eyes darting away. But there was no way she would back down to
Thalassa, who she saw as nothing more than a country bumpkin.
“I’m talking about the interview, why bring up irrelevant matters?” Charlotte quickly regained her composure, her
anger directed at Thalassa.
“As you said, today is about the interview. Why bring up the engagement with Lysander?” Thalassa coolly met
Charlotte’s gaze, her retort a mirror of Charlotte’s own logic.
