David's hands clutched the steering wheel firmly as he carved out a moment to glance at Lysander. “Mr. Sinclair, where to now?” Had Mr. Sinclair really instructed Fitch to stop picking up the kids for a while? Did that mean the kids were going to stay at Thalassa’s place for the tbeing? Since when had Mr. Sinclair becso charitable? Of course, that was a question he dared not voice out loud.
Lysander, massaging the bridge of his nose, looking a tad weary, replied, “The office.” “Alright,” David responded, spinning the wheel to change direction. He took a quick glimpse of Lysander in the rear-view mirror. The usually stern and formidable man seemed enveloped in a faint air of melancholy today.
“Mr. Sinclair, it's after hours. Are you heading back to the office to work overtime? You seem beat. Maybe you should head hand have a rest,” David blurted out, concern for his boss’s well-being.
“Are you missing Afriland now?” Lysander shot back a deep, penetrating look.
David clamped his mouth shut instantly.

Watching the kids so full of life and adorably cute, Evelyn's smile seemed soldered to her face, never once faltering.
The once quiet and empty house was now infused with warmth and life, reminiscent of days gone by-when they were strapped for cash but brimming with happiness.
“Thalassa, you play with the kids for a bit. I'll go make dinner,” Evelyn offered.
Thalassa stopped her, “Mom, you play with the kids. I'll take care of dinner.” With that, she headed to the kitchen.
She could tell having the kids around lifted Evelyn's spirits immensely.
She had tried to take Evelyn on vacation to relax, but to no avail.
