Amanda’s eyes instantly welled up with tears as her pent-up frustration and anger burst
forth.
Initially, she had felt guilty, thinking that Elias went out drinking because of their

Elias’ expression became increasingly grim, furrowing his brows. “Have you informed my
family?”
When he woke up, he expected to see Amanda there, but the first person he saw was not
her.
“Yes, the hospital has already contacted your family.”
They called, but Amanda didn’t come.
Elias was utterly disappointed. How could Amanda become so heartless? Even if they had
argued, he ended up in the hospital, yet she didn’t even bother to check on him.
The old Amanda he knew would never behave like this.
He couldn’t figure out what went wrong.
Elias looked at Casey before him and said, “Thank you for last night. You can go now. I’m
fine. My family will come take care of me.”
“Um… alright, I’ll leave then.” Casey also felt out of place staying here, especially since he
was someone’s boyfriend. Taking care of him should be the responsibility of his partner.
She turned and left the ward. However, as soon as she walked out, she saw a thermos
flask on a nearby chair, which looked like it belonged to someone’s household.

She took the thermos flask and returned to Elias’ bedside. “Mr. Winters, I found this

After hearing the door close, Elias couldn’t wait any longer and dialed Amanda’s phone. It

Amanda replied, “What are you talking about? Let’s talk after you’re discharged. I’ve
asked the doctor, and they want to observe you in the hospital for two more days.”
