The faces of the men were full of bitterness. No one had thought Grace would be so ruthless.
They immediately split up, sweeping their flashlights through the darkness as they searched for Grace.
However, Grace had actually only run for a few hundred miles before quietly sneaking back into the pitch-black
house. There was no one at the house at the moment. Hiding behind the door, she could see the three men lying
on the ground.
The most dangerous place was often the safest. With everyone out searching for her, they wouldn't be back for a
while.
She kneeled beside the men and tried to rummage a phone out of them. When she finally found one, she
immediately called Ed.
She didn't know where she was, but something in her told her that when trouble came, the first person she
should call was Ed.
Ed had been very busy since Christmas Eve, but he still answered the call. He didn't say anything, but it was
apparent his breathing had immediately become
heavy.
Grace quickly told him everything that had happened in under 20 seconds and then asked, "Can you find me?"
"Wait for me," Ed simply replied.
His reply immediately put her at ease.
But she still quickly called the police, hoping they would trace the phone's location and cto her rescue.
Liking Ed and believing in him was one thing, but she had to value her own life more, so she needed a backup
plan.
After she was done with everything in less than a minute, she immediately hid behind the door beside her. There
was a chance those men would cback. All she needed to do was wait patiently.
Lucian and his gang searched for Grace for an hour and couldn't find her. Suddenly, Joanne gave Lucian a call.
"Grace's younger brother is making his way over. You guys cback first," Joanne said.
She didn't know what had gotten into Liam. He didn't want to wait for a few hours and wanted to see Grace right

So, she could only halt her plans. Although she wasn't willing to do so, she couldn't risk raising anyone's
suspicion just yet.
Joanne was a bit restless. Liam's change of mind wasn't in her plans at all. She didn't understand why he would
still care about Grace with Andrea's death standing like a wall between them.
But she didn't have much time, so she urged Lucian and his men to clean up the scene and retreat quickly.
Lucian didn't have a choice but to bring his men back to the large warehouse.
Grace could hear their footsteps getting closer, causing her heartbeat to race. But they just cto collect the
equipment scattered around the place and then dragged the men lying on the ground before leaving.
Cold sweat broke out across Grace's back as she watched their movements. Those men simply left the
warehouse within five minutes.
Afraid it was just a trap, she stayed hidden for another ten minutes and made sure everything was clear before
deciding to cout. But just as she took a step out, another set of footsteps came, and the door was opened
with a hard swing.
Grace wasn't even able to say anything before she was held into a strong embrace. She was a bit surprised
before she let her guard down.
"Ed, how did you know I'm hiding here?" she asked.
Ed's hug was very tight, and he simply said, "I know you well."
Grace furrowed her brows.
Ed had cin less than 20 minutes after she hung up the phone. But she remembered the ride here had taken
almost two hours after she was thrown into the car by those men. Was Ed's house also nearby?
She couldn't believe that it would be such a coincidence.
When she was about to say something, the sounds of a car cfrom outside. She wasn't able to check the
person who cwhen Ed grabbed her wrist and took a narrow side path.
"Grace, let's go," Ed urged.
Grace becworried, thinking those men had cback again, so she quickly ran after Ed.
The night breeze was still cold. As her guard had been up this whole time, her vision beca bit blurry at the
moment. She didn't know how far she had run, but she was already tired.
She could hear Ed's soothing voice. "You can lay on my shoulders if you're tired and have srest. You'll be
hwhen you wake up."
Grace yawned. She didn't know why she was this tired. "What if they catch up to us?"
"Then I'll carry you and keep running," Ed replied.
She drifted off before she could respond. Her surroundings were completely dark, with only a faint white light
stretching across the distant horizon The sky was starting to tighten up. s
Back at the warehouse, Liam got out of his car and searched the whole place but still couldn't find Grace. As He
stared at the empty and dark room, he was a bit confused and then quickly called Joanne s
"Joanne, where's Grace? And besides, do you really need to send her to a deserted place like this to help her
regain her memories?" Liam questioned.
He didn't even know a place like this existed.
Joanne sighed.
"They toldGrace ran away, and no one knows where she has gone. Why don't you try calling her again?
Liam, you promised you'd listen towhen it comes to getting race's memories back. In the one who knows
past Grace the most," Joanne replied. s
Liam didn't know what to say, so he pressed his lips together and hung up the phone. He tried to call Grace, but
no one answered.
The restlessness in him kept burning even brighter than before. He was on the edge of losing control.
He immediately drove back and waited in front of Grace's apartment. Just as he sat down in front of the door,
Selene opened her door.
Selene was surprised to see him sitting outside Grace's door so early in the morning. She didn't understand what
he was doing there so early. Dawn had just broken.
When Liam saw her, he tried to say something but stopped.
Selene yawned, the dark circles under her eyes showing that she hadn't slept well last night.
"You can't find Grace again? Can't you ask her for the passcode to her apartment? Then you won't need to wait
in the hallway anymore," Selene suggested.
But when she finished her words, she saw that Liam didn't even bother to give her
a reaction, so she simply turned around and went to the elevator.
She suddenly heard Liam's voice after taking a few steps.
"Would you mind calling her for me" Liam asked.
He thought maybe Grace didn't want to answer his calls since she must really
hate him right now.
But before he could finish his words, the hospital suddenly contacted him. They wanted Liam to cremate Andrea
as quickly as possible.
