After Grace sent Jasper back, she called Ed, but he didn't pick up. She was worried that he was once again sick,
so she sent him a few messages.
He used to reply immediately to her texts, but this time, he replied only after half an hour.
"Il was busy. Something was up."
Grace quickly gave him a call. Even though he picked up the call, she could tell there was something strange
about his voice. "Ed, are you sick?"
"No, the Obsidian has just been busy lately."
She wasn't familiar with the place. She had originally thought that the employees would have days off, like any
other company.
Taking a deep breath, she saw that she had arrived at the grocery store.
"Are you still having dinner withtomorrow night, then? I'm not sure if you have time."

The other end of the call went silent. Then, he sighed. "Let's play it by ear. I'm really busy at the moment."
A fleeting disappointment flashed across her eyes. Now that Liam had Andrea by his side and Ed wasn't free, she
would probably have to spend Christmas by herself.
"Okay then. Go ahead and take care of whatever's on your end. Letknow if you change your mind."
After hanging up, she drove straight home. Since she was going to spend Christmas alone, she didn't need
anything else.
Just as she was about to leave her car, her gaze fell on the bottle in the back seat. A doctor had given her that
bottle of supplements and told her that she could take them.
She had completely forgotten about it. So, she took it with her and went upstairs.
After setting the bottle in the kitchen, she went into her room, ready to take a shower.
Dylan was breathing heavily as he stared at the man sitting across him with a smile on his face.
"Uncle Ethan, I've said what | needed to say, really I've deleted all the photos. Besides, Grandpa has strictly
instructed all of us to attend tomorrow #ff were to disappear now, | don't think you'd be able to foot him with
just an excuse."

Ethan lowered his gaze and looked at the flash drive in front of him. He took it and casually played with it,
looking somewhat nonchalant.
Dylan had been in the hospital for the past few weeks. He wanted to take action after recovering, but he didn't
expect Ethan to be so tasty and find him first. fo s
He spat out a mouthful of blood, clutching his injured arm. He had thought he knew Ethan well enough. But it
seemed what he knew about him still wasn't enough.
When Ethan struck him, he had no clue where his dagger cfrom.
Even though Dylan panicked, he had not felt so fired up by a fight in a long time.
No wonder Ethan could keep him down. He was indeed powerful.
It was a pity that he had a weakness.
Dylan's smile widened, and he shrugged. "All the copies of the
photos are in there. | also told
Grandpa that | needed to learn more from you about managing the Company. There's no way I'm disappearing
now."

Bringing up the old man was like his "get out of jail" card. Now that they were moving into a new year, Ethan
didn't want to cause trouble.
Ethan faintly raised his gaze, but his focus was not on Dylan.
Dylan felt humiliated. He had regarded Ethan as a competitor his whole life, but Ethan didn't even care.
It wasn't fair. How could a man with a weakness have such a high position?
Ethan passed the flash drive to Tim, who was standing beside him. "Deal with this."
