Aubrey’s POV

His tall frloomed over me; the fierce rage in his deep eyes churned violently. The Alpha-level pressure made
it almost impossible to breathe.
Whenever he was this angry, even his father wouldn't confront him; | certainly hadn’t dared to in the past. But
now-Il was no longer afraid.
“According to ancient werewolf law, only the first union that takes place after awakening the wolf at eighteen can
ensure the pure inheritance of my ancient werewolf bloodline.”
| lifted my chin, allowing him to grip my jaw; my fingertips trembled lightly against his palm. “But five months
ago, you lost control and mated withearly. To cover it up, you had someone perform hymen repair surgery on
me; to this day, the Elders still believe we are an untouched, pure engaged couple. Only you and | know the
truth. Tonight, they tried to force me; these marks are from my struggles to resist. Nothing else happened to me.

Henry looked as though he had just heard a joke; his anger flared even hotter.

Henry paused; then he let out a disdainful laugh.

betrayed her Alpha. My warriors, who worship me-will tear you apart in their fury. When you're dead, this
damned engagement will be meaningless.”

| was betting that Alpha Henry had a shred of decency left for me; and | looked pitiful enough now.
