Chapter 0960 +25 BONUS "Anthony Moriarty is a good man... It's hard forto admit it, and his methods are far from conventional, but I know he's a good person. His wife, Angela... she lives up to her name. She's an angel. She's taken care of me, treatedlike a brother. She's a good woman," Lucius said sincerely.
"I know," Maximus nodded. "If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be here. I suppose life put her in your path so you'd finally know what it's like to have a sane person in your life" His tone was so serious that, for a second, it was hard to tell if he was joking.
Lucius let out a soft chuckle before sighing. "So... what do we do now, Maximus?" Without warning, Maximus pulled him into another embrace.
"We do whatever you want to do. I'm not going to impose anything on you," he assured him. "You'll decide when you want to visit us-of course, it has to be when you're free from school. And you're right, I don't want you neglecting that part of your life. Did you know Laura is studying remotely?" Lucius raised an eyebrow. "Finally. What's she studying? Because I doubt dance can be done online," he said, remembering how passionate she was about it.

Lucius blinked in surprise. “Wow... Laura? Studying economics? I can't picture that." "Believe it. She says she wants to set a good example for her daughter. She wants to be someone important in a company one day," Maximus explained without hesitation.
Lucius was quiet for a moment before finally exhaling. "I do want to see her... I do want to see my siblings." His voice was firmer this time, accepting what he had been avoiding for so long. "Can I bring Amanda with me?” "Of course!" Maximus said, his voice full of encouragement. "Now, we just need to break the news to our favorite grumpy man-Moriarty." A sudden ahem made both men freeze.
They turned their heads simultaneously, only to see Anthony Moriarty standing in the doorway, arms crossed, watching them with narrowed eyes.
"Would either of you care to tell me... where my wife and daughter are?" he asked in that dangerously calm tone of his.
Lucius glanced around, suddenly realizing the absence. “Uh... well, she was here a few moments ago..." "Uh-huh..." Moriarty muttered, pulling out his phone. "Darling? Where are you? I just cupstairs and ran straight into my walking headache, but you were nowhere to be found," he said as he stepped out of the room, talking to Angela.
Maximus turned to Lucius. "Is he always like this?" Lucius smirked. "Give it a few days. You get used to it. Sometimes, it's terrifying, but you do get used to it." He conveniently left out the fact that Moriarty could also be a complete nightmare when he wanted to be.
Moriarty reentered the study, his expression unreadable. “Lucius...” he said slowly. "I'm going to meet up with my wife and daughter. She toldAmanda Hayward is already with them, and they're catching up. Do you know what that means?" Lucius's eyes widened instantly. Oh, shit.

Moriarty smirked, victorious.
Maximus, watching the interaction with curiosity, shook his head. "You've really got my son wrapped around your finger. How the hell did you manage that?"
Moriarty shrugged. "It's a bit of a cat-and-mouse game. Your son isn't a bad kid, Maximus. And yeah, I've called him a paix in the ass ass more times than I can count-because he is one. But at the stime..." His expression turned serious. "I admire him. He's young, but he's faced things most people never will. And he's still standing." Maximus caught the warning hidden in Moriarty's gaze. It was unspoken, but the message was clear: If you hurt him, I will make your life hell.
And despite all the jabs and sarcasm, Moriarty meant it. He didn't hand out e respect easily, but Lucius had earned it if nothing else, the way he protected Angela and Valentina had been enough to prove the kid had a good heart. And on the way, I'm sure Maximus and I would love to hear all about this Amanda Hayward you spent the night with." Maximus turned just in tto see the way his son's face flushed deep red.
