Chapter 969: Tina, Tonight Is Our Wedding Night Zackary's face flushed as he said, "Tina, I'm not a kid anymore. I'm already a man!" "And, you toldbefore that boys should take responsibility for the girls they like..." At this, Zackary glanced at Jared briefly before quickly lowering his head. "I don't really understand what liking someone means yet, but I know I can't just stand by and watch Sophia get hurt." Jared was speechless.
Why was this about Sophia again? How did these two manage to cross paths after only a few days? Tina looked at both of them in surprise. "You did it to save Sophia?" Zackary, seeing Jared remain silent, continued, "Yes. At the time, there were people running and shouting everywhere. Sophia tripped over her dress, and I got hit by the chair while trying to help her up." Jared was surprised but remained calm.
Ultimately, this was a debt the Farrell family owed the Reed family. One issue at a time.
Zackary quietly explained, "Tina, Mom and Dad already talked toabout this. I know I don't have the strength yet, but it's Sophia. I couldn't just watch her get hurt..." Jared couldn't listen anymore. With a serious expression, he interjected, "Zackary, on behalf of my family and Sophia, thank you for saving her!" Zackary was startled, waving his hands nervously. "It's nothing, Jared. Sophia and I, we..." Jared's brow twitched as he firmly cut in, "You're still young. Besides studying, you shouldn't be thinking about anything else!" "Didn't you say you wanted to be a scientist? I'll arrange for someone to take you on a tour of the national laboratory. It might be helpful." Zackary's eyes lit up. "Really?" Jared nodded, speaking in an encouraging tone. "However, you should know that most scientists dedicate all their tto experiments. Even their personal tis often sacrificed. You need to be prepared for that." Zackary had already researched everything about being a scientist and felt ready for the challenge. "I will, Jared." Jared nodded in satisfaction.
Tina watched the interaction between the two and simply smiled without saying anything.
She didn't think her uncle's plan was as foolproof as he believed.
After all, she herself had cfrom a lab. Dedication to work was one thing, but finding tfor a spouse wasn't impossible-especially when there was a childhood "arranged marriage" involved.
At the hospital, staff stayed behind, and Tina was persuaded by Jennie to head home.
On the way back, Alina told Tina that she had shown the design they were investigating to Master Tam, who seemed to recognize it. Alina suggested that Tina find tto ask him about it. After giving these instructions, Alina and Ruud got into the car the Pace family had prepared for them.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtRuud kept turning back as he walked, his mournful gaze practically nailing Jared to a metaphorical cross of guilt.
Tina, turning her head, gave Jared a quick instruction, "Uncle, explain everything to Mom and Dad when you get back. I'm heading hfirst." Jared remained silent.
Tina was about to follow Alina when she suddenly found herself being hugged tightly from behind.
Jared wanted to laugh, but when he spoke, his slightly hoarse voice was tinged with grievance.
"We just went through life and death together, swore vows to each other, and now, Tina... are you abandoning me?" Tina froze.
What nonsense was this? She was just going home-nothing more! "Claudia was seriously injured this time. I need to go back and see if she left anything behind at the Pace family's place..." "That's not happening!" Tina asked in confusion, "Why not?" Jared's chest vibrated slightly as he looked at her, his gaze deepening. "Because tonight is our wedding night." Tina's face turned bright red in an instant.
She had completely forgotten about that.
Did this mean she couldn't return to the Pace family after the wedding? Jared, seeing her expression, knew she had forgotten all about it and sighed in mild exasperation.
Tina's mind went blank. "Then... where are we going now?" Jared leaned down, kissing the corner of her lips. "Did you forget? We have our own hnow-a place where no one will disturb us." Their marital hwas located in a private estate in the capital.
It wasn't in the most elite area, but it was still very desirable.
Interestingly, before the properties there could even be listed for sale, a mysterious buyer had already purchased the entire last row of villas.
Tina wondered if this was her uncle's doing.
When she stepped inside, the sight took her breath away. Everywhere she looked, there was red. From the entryway to the living room, everything was covered in red rose petals, leading all the way to the bedroom.
Tina smiled, amused at this unexpected romantic side of her uncle.
Jared closed the door behind them and wrapped his arms around her from behind, whispering softly, "Do you like it?" Without hesitation, Tina replied, "I like it." Jared chuckled, his voice low and magnetic. "Do you like it more than you like me?" Tina raised her eyebrows, turning to face the man whose eyes had already filled with desire. With a mischievous smile, she replied, "Uncle, you just had a battle with Claudia earlier today. Are you sure you still have the energy?" Jared's body heated instantly. He scooped her up effortlessly. "Tina, want to find out?" She barely had tto react before they both tumbled onto the soft bed.
As the dizziness from the fall subsided, Tina could feel her uncle's heavy breathing close to her.
He clearly wanted to devour her whole but was holding back.
She smiled slyly, wrapping her arms around his neck. Then, with a playful bite on his lips, she murmured, "Then let's find out." Jared's restraint shattered entirely. His hands gripped her soft body tightly, refusing to let her escape.
When Tina woke up, the clock on her phone read 10 a. m.
She checked her phone, surprised to see no messages.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs she tried to get up, she realized she was held tightly, unable to move.
Her head throbbed as memories of last night cflooding back.
One thought dominated her mind: When men go crazy, it's deadly!
From the bedroom to the bathroom, she had been so exhausted she couldn't even remember everything. ve! But her body painfully reminded her that last night's activities had stretched far beyond just those two places.
Five minutes later, while her phone remained silent, Jared's phone began Ο ΠΡ ringing incessantly. Seeing his furrowed brow, Tina tried to get up quickly, but a large hand pulled her back down, pinning her to his chest. His still-sleepy voice, hoarse and tempting, asked, "Where are you going?" Tina shot him an exasperated look. "To get dressed." Her clothes from last night had vanished, and he had the audacity to ask.
Jared smirked, his expression one of satisfaction. "No rush. Take it easy. Otherwise, your body won't handle it." Tina was speechless.
Jared answered a few words into the phone before hanging up.
Then he turned to her and said in a low voice, "That was Mom and Dad. They want us to cover for dinner tonight." Tina lazily responded with a hum.
She understood that marriage meant this sort of thing would beca regular occurrence. Sensing her low mood, Jared explained, "Don't overthink it. It's just dinner, nothing else." Tina suddenly raised her head.
"Uncle, aren't you tired?" Jared froze.
As his gaze deepened, Tina instantly regretted asking. She quickly escaped before he could make a move.
The wardrobe was filled with clothes she liked. She casually picked something and got dressed.
When she stepped out, her uncle was already fully dressed and busy in the kitchen.
