Chapter 968: Completely Gone Upon hearing the words, Amber Reed's pupils suddenly dilated, and the body she had been forcing to stay upright began to cough up blood.

Tina had expected this.

That blow from Uncle earlier had been delivered with full force.

Amber Reed didn't die immediately only because they didn't want her blood to contaminate them with something filthy. Watching this scene unfold was the only thing that could satisfy them.

But Amber Reed had miscalculated every step.

Every move she made in the capital had been under Tina's control. There was no way Tina would let Amber Reed have her way.

Tina turned and walked away, leaving Amber Reed to be dealt with by others.

Velma crunning over, her face full of concern. She glanced at Amber Reed, who was already collapsed on the ground, without sparing her another look.

"Tina, are you okay? Why did Amber Reed suddenly show up? I thought she was already..." Tina nodded firmly. "She's already dead." Velma glanced back, recalling the terrifying scene that had almost scared her to death earlier. She exhaled sharply. "Serves her right!" Back in Ensford, Amber Reed's actions should have gotten her arrested and locked away for life.

If that had happened, she wouldn't have caused trouble at Tina's wedding today, ruining what should've been a day of joy.

Tina patted Velma on the shoulder, sensing her worry. "Don't worry, I'm fine. Her petty tricks are no match for me." Velma turned to look at Tina and was almost stunned by the sight before her.

With a teasing tone, she said, "Your husband practically stripped you on the spot to clean you with alcohol. What's left forto worry about?" Tina froze. She glanced down at the slightly oversized suit jacket she was wearing and instinctively pulled it tighter. "Don't talk about my husband!" Velma rolled her eyes, exasperated.

"Fine, fine, your husband is the best in the whole world." ### Later Tina and Jared headed to the hospital where Hugo was staying.

Hayden took Paula and Velma back, stopping by the hospital to get sminor injuries treated. "Even small wounds shouldn't be ignored," he had said.

Velma, however, couldn't stand watching Paula gaze at Hayden with lovestruck eyes any longer. Halfway there, she got out at a pharmacy and left them alone in the car.

"Good grief," she muttered to herself. "I'm probably destined to be single for life." Meanwhile, on the road, Jared stopped by a women's clothing store and bought an outfit for Tina, asking her to change in the car.

Tina glanced at the oversized suit jacket she was wearing. It really wasn't appropriate to meet Hugo and the others dressed like this.

She changed in the back seat, then tapped on the car window to get Jared's attention. "Uncle, I'm ready." The two entered the hospital. Tina headed straight for the surgery department but was pulled aside by Jared into the antibody testing center.

After a round of tests, Jared finally relaxed when he got the results.

Tina, watching him meticulously examine each line of data, couldn't help but feel he was overreacting.

She decided to call Hugo to get his room number and went ahead to find him.

### At the Hospital Room Outside the room, Ruud and Alina were waiting. When they saw Tina, their anxious expressions softened. Seeing that Tina was clean and unharmed, Alina finally exhaled in relief.

Ruud, however, rushed over and grabbed Tina's shoulders, inspecting her carefully. "Tina, are you okay? Are you hurt?" Tina's head spun from his shaking. She had to step back and push him off gently. "Dad, I'm fine." She then looked at Alina. "Mom, where's Master and the others?" "Your brothers stayed at the scene. Your Master went back to the Brooks family with your grandfather. Nian Nian and Yi Yi were a little shaken up." Tina nodded, reassured by her Master's presence.

"Dad, Mom!" Jared walked over, his earlier tension now gone, the test results carefully tucked into his pocket. Ruud grunted in acknowledgment but quickly adopted the air of a strict father-in-law. "As long as you're both okay, that's all that matters. We can reschedule the wedding. It's not urgent." Hearing this, Tina raised her hand to show her wedding ring. "No need. Everything that needed to be done has been done." Ruud was stunned. "The venue was gone. Where did you even hold it?" Jared pressed his lips together and said calmly, "On the road." Ruud froze.

His daughter's once-in-a-lifetmoment-held on the road? Just as Ruud was about to explode, Alina stepped in, gently pulling him aside.

"Alright, as long as the kids are safe, that's all that matters. Let them go in to see Hugo and the children." Ruud hesitated, then swallowed his frustrations. But his sharp gaze lingered on Jared. This wasn't over. What kind of so-called ideal son-in-law was this? Jared seemed more like a nemesis sent to torment him. He had spent three days drafting a wedding speech with his team, rewriting the draft over ten times... only for this? ### In the Room Inside the hospital room, Zackary sat on the bed with an IV in his hand. His head was wrapped in a layer of bandages, but his small face looked spirited. His injuries didn't seem too serious.

Tina walked over and gently patted his head before turning to Hugo and Jennie. "Hugo, Jennie, I'm sorry I'm late." Hugo was so anxious he couldn't speak. He instinctively waved his injured hand before switching to the other one to gesture.

Jennie, seeing that Tina wasn't wearing a wedding dress, immediately teared up. "Tina, as long as you're okay, that's all that matters! We can hold the wedding again!" At the scene earlier, Jennie had heard about the attack Tina faced on the road. Fortunately, Tina

had been prepared, and the cars and people involved were all part of a prearranged plan. Tika didn't think much of it. She extended her hand, showing the wedding ring, to comfort Jennie. "Jennie, none of that matters. You know I've never cared about ceremonies. All that matters is being with Uncle." Jennie could see the sincerity in Tina's eyes, but her tears wouldn't stop. She bit her lip and nodded.

To Jennie, Tina was like her own daughter.

For such a beautiful day to be marred by such a terrifying event-just thinking about it made her heart ache for Tina.

Hugo reached out his uninjured hand to comfort Jennie.

"Alright, our Tina is someone who does big things. She doesn't dwell on these formalities!" Jennie glared at him.

"Nonsense. Tina is our daughter. What girl doesn't care about these things? You don't understand anything..." Even postponing it by a day would have been better than this.

What girl wouldn't want a complete, perfect wedding? Hugo hesitated, opening his mouth to argue, but he couldn't find the words. He could only look at Tina for help.

Tina understood.

Hugo then turned to Jared and asked quietly, "Jared, about the people you encountered on the road...?" Not wanting to worry Hugo, Jared replied, "Don't worry. It's all been taken care of." Hugo finally relaxed, nodding heavily. "Good, good." Tina, having reassured Jennie, turned her attention to Zackary.

"I heard from Hugo that you got hurt saving someone. You're still so m young-did you think about your own safety first?" Bravery was a virtue, but Tina didn't want Zackary to treat reckless courage as a source of pride.

He was still a child. Without the ability to protect himself, such m impulsive courage would only put him in harm's way.
