a bathrobe and walking into the bathroom.
Joseph had presented the truth before her, but Chloe refused to believe it. After all, Jasper was still a kid. There
was no way he was capable of such a sordid plan. After getting dressed, she took out thirty dollars and threw it
on the bed. She wanted him to know that he was just her booty call, not someone she slept with out of genuine
feelings.
When she was leaving, Jasper stopped her. She looked at him coldly and asked, "What do you want?"
Jasper blinked and said slowly, "I'm sorry, Ms. Chloe. | can explain what happened last night."

with Daddy. It was all my idea. | gave him that glass of orange juice. | didn't expect you to—

Chloe interrupted, "Stop making up stories. This is all a planned act between you and your father, isn’t it?"
"I swear that if I'm lying, I'll never find a wife like Daddy!" Jasper swore earnestly as he raised his hand.
She looked at him expressionlessly. "Only an idiot would believe you."
Like father, like son. She should not have lowered her guard against Jasper just because he was a kid.

Noah called again, but at the stime, a cab arrived. In a hurry, Chloe hailed it and got in. At this point, her
phone battery was running low and she had given all her cash to Joseph. She was worried that she would not be
able to pay the driver if her phone died, so she did not answer the call and decided to explain everything to
