Myra paused to answer the call, and almost instantly, I saw her expression shift.
"What's the problem?"
"H-Humans are already advancing. I expected it, but they should have at least tried to negotiate," Myra muttered anxiously.
I sighed and patted her back.
"I'll handle them and make sure they regret it. Those idiots just want to test their latest weapons," I said, a smile slowly creeping across my face.
"Are you sure about that? Didn't you tellyou formed ssort of pact with the humans?"

"Correct, but I plan to break it. Besides, I can just do this—" I placed my palm over my face as a green glow spread from it, flowing across my body. Within seconds, my form shifted into another figure.
Now, I looked like an ordinary vampire—bright glowing eyes, longer ears, and a slightly taller frthan my real body. Myra's eyes widened in alarm; her hand hovered over the emergency button by the bed. This was my special skill, *Ben Transform*, a technique that allowedto take the form of a dead vampire named Ben while retaining my normal powers.
"Don't press that button. It hurts that you don't even recognize your husband. You thought I was an imposter, didn't you?" I murmured, stepping closer. She relaxed, lowering her guard.
"Don't say it like that. It's not wrong to be cautious. You're so weird, always doing strange things. What can you not do?" Myra stuttered, her cheeks glowing red.
"That's true. I need you to order your commanders to follow my lead. Also, make sure they don't know it's me—just tell them I'm someone I sent," I said, and Myra nodded, picking up her bedside phone to issue the orders.
While we waited, I noticed Myra changing into something more modest, covering herself.
"Why are you dressing like that?"
"Do you want my subordinates thinking I was doing something with my husband's messenger? Right now, in this form, you're not my husband," she said playfully, and I couldn't help but chuckle.
Moments later, a knock sounded at the door. I opened it to find a tall elven man with twin earrings standing there. Judging by human standards, he looked to be in his early thirties, but for an elf, that could mean centuries. He eyedbriefly before giving a small bow, then turned to Myra and bowed deeply.
"Your Majesty, you called for me."
"Since you're my most trusted commander, I'll leave it to you. This is someone my husband sent. It might sound unusual, but I need you to follow his orders, just for today," Myra said.
I noticed the elven man's lingering gaze onbefore he let out a quiet sigh. My appearance was that of a typical vampire, except for my slightly longer-than-average ears that stood out like a sore thumb. It was only natural for him to look down on me.
"You… mean His Majesty sent this person?" the commander asked again.
"Yes," Myra confirmed.
"Very well, Your Majesty. Please follow me, sir," the commander said, bowing to Myra before gesturing forto follow. His demeanor towardshifted slightly, perhaps because he believed I was merely sent by myself, not realizing I was the real deal in disguise.
As we exited Myra's chamber, I walked beside the commander. Along the corridor, I encountered Kira. Our eyes met briefly, yet she kept glancing back atsuspiciously even after turning away.
Outside the castle, we boarded a large hoverboard together.
"S-Sir, may I ask you something?" the commander began.
"Go on."
"Why were you in Her Majesty's room? It just doesn't make sense. Don't getwrong, I'm just curious," he asked with a sheepish smile, though I could tell the question genuinely bothered him.
"Pfft. I get your concern. But according to what my boss told me, that isn't Her Majesty's private chamber. It's one of the palace rooms designed for a single purpose–the large device you saw at the far end. It's a warping device. Her Majesty was only there to receiveupon arrival," I replied, half-lying.
The commander's face flushed red with embarrassment. He straightened his posture and cleared his throat. I could see the relief wash over him, and it madewonder why he was so tense in the first place.
"Thanks for clarifying. I was just… worried about Her Majesty being dressed like that with a stranger," he admitted.
"I understand your concern. I believe she was urgently called to meet me," I said casually.
The hoverboard ascended smoothly, hovering beneath a small spaceship that opened its hatch as we approached. We entered a compact cabin lined with control panels and a few seats but no one else was inside, just the two of us.
"This is just a small vessel to reach the main ship. Please bear with it," the commander said, pressing a button. The thrusters roared to life, and I felt the vibrations hum through my body. The ship was clearly outdated, perhaps even older than the vampires' previous military models but I decided not to judge yet.
After a couple of minutes, I glanced out the window and there they were: colossal battle spaceships, hundreds of them, orbiting around an even larger flagship roughly the size of a dwarf star. It was one of the massive vessels delivered to us by Edgar Frost. Because of its size, it was always stationed in space, unlike the smaller crafts docked on land.
Our small ship drifted toward the mother ship, and as we approached, a translucent field surrounded us. Instantly, a section of the massive ship opened, drawing us in. We entered what seemed to be a docking bay built for smaller vessels like ours.
Suddenly, three robotic arms extended, locking onto our ship and securing it in place. As we disembarked, we were greeted by ten soldiers clad in full beast gear, standing at attention.
