Nola’s eyes lit up. “Really?! You said it yourself, so you can’t take back your words. Alisa will be the witness!”

Elvis nodded. Of course, he wouldn't take back his words. Nola was overjoyed that she took the initiative to hug

him.

Alisa saw it and quickly looked away, but a smile oozed from her eyes.

Nola blushed and stepped back. She forgot Alisa was there with them and felt so embarrassed.

“Oh, we now have a hostess in Breeze Garden. So nice. | guess old Mrs. Grayson will finally rest assured.”

“Uh, no, Alisa. It's not what you think it is.”

“I get it! You two are a cute young couple. | bet Mr. Grayson’s parents will be rapturous if they know this.”

Nola then realized that she had met Elvis’ grandma but had never met his parents. It was said that the Grayson

family was warm and harmonious, but why was Elvis living alone?

Nola wanted to ask, but she knew she was not the one to ask questions about his family. Yet Elvis started to talk

about them himself.

Elvis’ parents were always loving. But years ago, his mother had heart surgery. After the surgery was done, Elvis’

father left the business all to Elvis.

After all, Elvis was old enough to take over the group, and the old couple needed stof their own.

Then, they started to travel. This time, their travel lasted for two months. They totally forgot that they had a son

working for them.

Nola envied their love. No wonder Elvis was so affectionate and couldn't forget his childhood sweetheart. He had

loving parents. Nola thought of her mother and felt sorry for her mother.

Her mother and his mother both married their beloveds, but her mother ended up like that.

Maybe her mother chose the wrong person.

“Grandma is getting better. She knows this about us. | promised to pick her up with you when she is discharged

from the hospital next weekend. And my parents will be back by then. You and me, we will go pick them up at

the airport.”

What Elvis said slightly caused mental distress to Nola.

“So | will meet his parents soon?! Wow, never expected it. Will they like me?” she thought.

Nola remembered the Lees and those filthy words they, the rich people, said. If Elvis’ parents didn’t like Nola, she

would definitely have a hard tliving with Elvis.

She hadn't given the parents thing that much thought.

“Can | not...”

“You will have to meet with them. You can’t avoid it forever, you know.” Elvis knew what she was gonna say. But

since she was married to him, she had to get used to it all.

He sighed and stared at her. “My parents are reasonable. And I’m not a loser who needs to marry a rich girl to

support the Grayson Group. So, you don’t have to worry about it.”

Nola nodded but was still antsy.

“What are their likes and dislikes about girls? Givesinformation. | need to be prepared.”

The girl he married was serious about meeting his parents, which satisfied him.

“I thought you could handle all kinds of people. Why do you need information? You won Granny's favor. What

made you think that you would lose my parents?”

“Yeah... but | still want to get fully prepared.”

“They're open-minded. So just be you.” Elvis then remembered something and added, “We gotta go shopping

for you tomorrow. Buy something you like or need. | may have no tto shop with you.”

Nola lowered her head and checked on her own dress. “What is wrong with my clothes?”

“You are my Mrs. Grayson,” Elvis remembered that she didn’t leave much stuff in the dressing room. If his

parents saw that when they cback, they would believe he was mentally abusing her.

But Nola thought he was suggesting that her clothes were all too cheap to be on his wife.

Elvis took out the secondary card he had prepared for her, but Nola didn’t want to take it. She only married him

to get her mother cured.

“I don’t need your money. | can buy clothes with my own money.”

“This card calong with the title of Mrs. Grayson. Do you want people to seeas a man who can’t even

afford to buy his wife expensive clothes?” Elvis was so firm about it that Nola had to take the card.

At that moment, she had a feeling of becoming a rich person. But the atmosphere was too tense. To ease it, she

snickered and said, “What's the maximum?”

“Make a guess.”

“I can use it at my will? Aren't you afraid ofmaxing your card out?”

“Have a try. I'm expecting you to impresswith your great squandering ability.”

“Hee-hee, you will regret it.” Since Elvis said so, she didn’t have to worry anymore. Nola planned to invite Linda

to shop the next day.

Nola was planning the shopping with ka-chin sounds echoing in her mind. She was like a different person from

the girl she used to be when she was with the Grant family.

However, it would be better if the card was really hers.

A smile flashed in Elvis‘ eyes. His girl was naughty and cute, yet stubborn, proud, and greedy. But she always

had her principles. Sometimes, she had her wits. But she could be slow.

Having her by his side, Elvis felt his dull life being colored.

Nola had a sound sleep that night. She was worried that Elvis would have sex with her again, but the man simply

slept with her in his arms. After Nola fell asleep, Elvis opened his eyes.

‘I drained her last night. | don’t want to frighten her.

She looks like a wild cat but is actually timid. Since she’s mine now, | will protect her.

Since Nola was his girl, she would always be his. Elvis didn’t notice that his attitude toward her was changing,

but he knew Nola was his forever.
