How could Elvis Grayson, the president of the famous Grayson Group, take his dine-and-dash? It would make the

headline of the local news if he did it. The thought amused Nola.

It was getting chilly. Nola couldn't help but sneezed, and Elvis took her hands, only to find them ice-cold.

Nola blushed when her tiny hands were held tight by Elvis. They were married, but it was complicated. They

couldn't be too close.

She knew she needed to keep her distance from Elvis for now.

So Nola tried to pull back her hands, which upset Elvis a little. He wrinkled and said. “Didn't | tell you to wear

more clothes? It’s getting cold these days.”

“I did wear more clothes.” Nola pointed at her overcoat.

It was only a thin coat. Elvis hastened her into the car without overthinking it. He had never seen Nola wearing

anything thick, but he thought, like most women, Nola must prefer fashion to comfort.

Now cto think of it, Nola brought nothing but a small suitcase to his place, which was strange. The women

Elvis knew all owned a lot of clothes. Took his assistant as an example. She could have a different outfit every

day within a month.

Elvis drove Nola back to the Breeze Garden silently. Nola sensed the changing atmosphere. He was in a good

mood just now. She wondered if it was something she said that upset him.

But she couldn't think of anything. The overcoat she had on was one of the finest clothes she owned. It cost Nola

almost fifty dollars to get it. Was it cheap for Elvis? Well, he sure wouldn't care about that kind of money.

It was a cheap coat for Elvis, but it was the best Nola could afford!

If warm and went

When they returned to the Breeze Garden, Elvis asked Nola to get a hot bath. After Nola got herself downstairs to

the living room, Elvis was gone.

“Mr. Grayson is in his study right now. Here is the ginger tea he toldto prepare for you, Mrs. Grayson.”

“Thank you, Alisa.” How sweet of Elvis to send ginger tea for her. It had been years since anyone cared about

Nola like this. People found Elvis disagreeable and quirky, but Nola thought he was kind and considerate, at least

to her.

She could feel Elvis was not as cold and arrogant as usual in front of her.

Nola was unemployed at the moment. She knew she would have to leave the Apex Group sooner or later if she

wanted to pursue her dream. And she couldn't allow herself to live like swealthy idle lady in the Grayson

family.

Therefore, she took out her well-preserved laptop, which she bought by working part-twhile studying interior

design back in college, and began to browse the recruitment information.

She wasn’t aiming to earn much now. She just wanted a platform where she could learn and get better at what

she did. It would be challenging, but eventually, she would make it just like her mother.

It had been a long day for Nola. She fell asleep on the sofa while drawing a draft. Elvis, on the contrary, stayed

up working. He noticed the light in the living room was on when he finished his work. So he cdownstairs

only to find Nola curling on the sofa asleep, her laptop still on. Beside her was the draft she had been working

on.

Chapter 21

Elvis forgot Nola was also a designer. Why didn’t she cto his study?

Nola looked lovely under the soft light of the living room. Elvis strode toward Nola to pick her up.

When he noticed the recruitment information on her laptop. Elvis was confused for a moment. Then, he closed

the computer and picked up Nola, who, still asleep, only moved a little to make herself comfortable in his arms.

Elvis’ eyes softened unconsciously. He carefully carried Nola to the bedroom.

Nola’s face still had bruises, but her lips looked soft and tempting. Elvis couldn't help but kiss her; the sweet

fragrance made him almost lose control.

Elvis only left Nola to sleep when the latter mumbled something in her sleep. Realizing what he did just now,

Elvis felt a little guilty. However, on second thought, Nola was his legal wife. Why would he feel guilty kissing his

own wife?

That thought boosted his confidence.

Nola slept well that night. She felt extremely comfortable sleeping in Elvis‘ arms. The latter, however, was vexed.

He was a man with needs.

There was a gorgeous woman lying beside him, but Elvis couldn't do anything. He had never been through this.

Nola slept soundly beside Elvis, while Elvis, tortured between sense and sensibility, couldn't sleep at all.

Nola was woken up by the sound of running water from the bathroom the following day. She got up with a

drowsy face when Elvis cout of the bathroom bare-chested, water droplets still hanging on his body. Seeing

Nola sitting on the bed with a bare shoulder, Elvis felt his throat tighten.

What was she doing? Was she seducing him?

Nola rubbed her eyes to see things clearly. Her face blushed when she realized Elvis was half-naked. She

covered her eyes. quickly and said, “Why aren't you dressed?”

“I was in the shower, remember?” Elvis rolled his eyes. There was no shyness in Nola’s eyes when she saw him

at first glance, and Elvis knew it.

Elvis smiled, “Con! Givea hand.”

“Why can’t you help yourself?”

“You are my wife. You have to helpget dressed. That was an excuse Nola couldn't refute. Still abashed, she

got out of bed reluctantly and began to help Elvis with his clothes.

Elvis had a great body. He had six packs, which were beautiful and usually concealed, but now exposed in front

of Nola. She couldn't help but peek a little. Elvis saw her look and coughed deliberately.

“Are you done looking at me?” He teased her.

“I... I wasn’t looking at you.” Nola replied unnaturally. Her eyes flickered when they met Elvis’ gaze. Nola

mumbled while helping Elvis with his shirt, “Even if | did look at your body, what are you going to do? You are my

husband. Are you going to chargefor checking you out?”

“Well, | certainly don’t need your money. However, | do want something in return.” As Elvis spoke, he held Nola’s

waist with his big hand, pressed her against the wall, and kissed her.

That was the consequence of seducing Elvis in the morning!
