Chapter 13
Upon hearing Antonio’s words, Kyla, who had been trying her best to keep composed, finally turned pale.
Her lips trembled slightly. “Antonio, what are you talking about? What truth? You guys are all so weird today.
What's wrong?”
“Kyla, even at this point, you still wouldn't level with us?”
Naomi raised her voice.
Her eyes were filled with disappointment as she continued, “How many times have you framed Grace? How
many times have you made her take the blfor you? Do you really wantto list them loud and clear?”
In the next second, Kyla took a step back, almost falling to the floor.
Her eyes were red; she looked as pitiful as always.
“Naomi, I'm your elder sister. How could you talk tolike this?”
Naomi sneered, “No, you're wrong. You aren't my sister. Grace is my only sister.”
Kyla’s face turned ghastly pale.
Perhaps the words “only sister” had struck a nerve of hers.
She clutched her chest while frowning, seemingly having

trouble breathing.
“Enough, Naomi! Stop pushing Kyla! Can't you see she’s in pain?”
Aileen was so distressed as she saw how pale and fragile Kyla
was.
Naomi turned to Aileen, saying in great disbelief, “Mom! | can’t believe you're still defending Kyla. Do you have
any idea how horrible those things she has done? Have you forgotten who your real daughter is?”

She took out the medical reports.
“Grace only has one kidney. She's the one who donated a kidney to Antonio.
“She was critically ill several times during her seven years prison, all because she was beaten!
in
“She has lived with us for twelve years, and none of us ever loved or cared for her. On the contrary, we blamed
and loathed her because we took Kyla’s lies for it. But Kyla’'s depression was fake. Kyla isn’t depressed at all.
She's been pretending! That big liar!”
At this point, she took out the most damning proof against Kyla.
It was a medical report proving Kyla had two kidneys and a psychological evaluation showing her mental state
was perfectly normal.
Antonio, who had been observing indifferently, opened his mouth.
“Naomi, giveGrace's medical reports.”
Naomi’s hand trembled as she handed him the reports.
Kyla, at the stime, collapsed to the floor.
There were critical condition notices, X-rays, CT scans, and spathology photos.
The more he looked, the more shocked he was, and his expression grew darker.
A full-body photo of Grace was included.
Every exposed part of her skin, including her arms, lower abdomen, back, and thighs, was covered in scars,
sutterly horrifying.
Clearly, she was beaten up and tortured in jail.
Antonio’s expression changed. The coldness on his face was replaced by ferocity.
Almost immediately, he walked over to Kyla.
He looked down at her, his eyes filled with malice.
“Tell me. What did you do? What the fuck did you do to Grace?!”
He used to be such a graceful gentleman, yet now, he completely lost it.
His eyes were bloodshot, and he felt like his heart was torn into countless pieces. “Kyla, why? Why did you do
this to her?”
Seeing that she could no longer hide it from them, Kyla smiled
bitterly.
She looked at Aileen, who was already stunned. “Mom, it hurts so much.”
In the next second, Naomi stood in front of Aileen, blocking Kyla’s line of sight.
“Stop playing pitifully to make Mom feel sorry for you before we get to the bottom of it. All these years, you've
been taking advantage of Mom's soft heart and her love for you; you manipulate her to hurt Grace, her real
daughter.”
Naomi closed her eyes, the things they had done to Grace these years flashing across her mind.
“You're so cruel. Has it ever occurred to you that your actions will make every one of us live in regret and pain
for the rest of our lives?”
Kyla didn’t answer Naomi’s question.
She looked at Samuel. “Dad, you've always doted onthe most, right?”
Samuel tightened his grip on the diary and avoided her gaze.
Instantly, she knew she had lost all leverage to continue playing the victim.
She threw caution to the wind and said lightly, “I want Grace to die. That's all.”
“Kyla Parrish!”
Antosaid through gritted teeth.
The look on his face made everyone present think he was about to choke Kyla to death. “Tell me. What did you
do?”

Kyla was so frightened that she trembled.
Just as she wanted to say something, Samuel beat her to it.
“Antonio.
“You have my word. Kyla will pay for what she did. But before that, perhaps you should take a look at Grace's
words she left for you.”
Antonio’s murderous aura lessened slightly.
He took the diary and flipped to the last page in a daze.
He saw Grace's graceful handwriting.
“I'm sorry, but this time, | won't wait for you.
“I hope you will be happy being with Kyla.
“I'm leaving. From now on, we won't see each other again.”
The date was December 10th, 2024.
Only now did he know that the day he and Kyla kissed in front of everyone, Grace was utterly disappointed and
decided to leave.
He was so clueless and even arrogantly thought he and Grace had a future.
He clutched the diary to his chest, overwhelmed by immense pain.
