Chapter 12
After quite a long time, Naomi still couldn’t process the words. she had just read in Grace's diary.
Perhaps she was doubting the authenticity of those reports in the morning, but after reading the diary, she was
completely shaken.
She thought, “Have | been wrong all these years? Kyla has been hiding her true nature so perfectly?”
Suddenly, she felt a chill run down her spine.
Taking out her phone, she wanted to call Antonio.
Because there was a page in Grace's diary that was meant for him to read.
But just before she was about to press the button, she hesitated.
She knew Antoloved Grace. Now that Grace was gone, if he saw this, he'd lose it right away.
After much consideration, she decided to go to the hospital
first.
It was better to talk things out with her family first; everything else could wait until they handled the situation
well.
It was already almost 8 p.m., and she decided to go to the hospital the next morning.
Meanwhile, Antowas at the Kaufman's villa.
He kept calling Grace again and again.
At first, no one picked up; then the cold mechanical voice rang out, telling him the number was invalid.

As he realized this, he beceven more flustered.
His gut told him he had lost something very important, something he could never get back.
He looked at their chat box on Whatwithout a single reply of hers, his expression turning completely grim.
Then he called his special assistant. “Use all my connections to find Grace at all costs. | must know where she is
even if | have to turn the entire Osmal City upside down!”
After hanging up, he sat in the dark, unable to calm down. even after a long, long time.
He spent a sleepless night.
At 8 a.m. the next day, Naomi arrived at the hospital where her family was.
Yet, the nurse told her Aileen and Samuel had already taken Kyla hearlier in the morning.
Naomi could only go back home.
The decorations for the wedding had been removed, and the

Parrish’s villa now looked the sway it was before the wedding.
The servants all looked miserable; upon seeing Naomi, they rushed toward her as if she were their savior.
“Ms. Naomi, go upstairs. Ms. Kyla has been crying and making
a scene, insisting on burning Ms. Grace's room.”
Hearing this, Naomi frowned.
“Naomi, you're back. Talk to Kyla, will you?”
Aileen was outside the storage room with red eyes. Apparently, she had been crying.
Yet Naomi didn’t enter; she took out Grace's diary.
“Mom, Dad, could you take a look at Grace's diary first?”
She showed them the last page. “Grace knows the language we’ve used all this time. She understood all the
hurtful things we said.”
Aileen and Samuel were stunned.
“What?” Aileen said, lowering her voice. “She has never learned that language; besides, she seemed so unfazed
when we talked.”
Meanwhile, Samuel took the diary and started to read it carefully.
Pursing her lips, Naomi entered the storage room.
It was Grace's room.

Kyla had already destroyed most of the things inside, though Grace hadn't left much to begin with.
Seeing how frantic Kyla was, Naomi frowned. “Kyla, it wasn’t you who donated a kidney to Antonio. Right?”
Hearing this, Kyla froze.
Her reaction made Naomi’s heart sink.
One's instinctive reactions were mostly real.
Naomi realized she was so wrong about Grace before. Then she looked at Kyla, her eyes filled with

“Kyla, exactly how many things have you lied to us about?
“Why did you transfer the money Dad and Mom had the accountant sent to Grace? The money was used to pay
for her living expenses.
“Why did you have someone torture Grace in prison?
“Why did you lie about donating a kidney to Antonio?”
Hearing these three “whys” in a row, Kyla immediately calmed down.
She looked at Naomi. “What are you talking about, Naomi?”
Just then, Aileen and Samuel, who had finished reading the diary, entered the room.
“Yeah, Naomi. What's with those questions? We don’t follow.”
Sighing, Naomi took out the medical reports and records from her bag.

Then she called her assistant.
“Bring them in.”
Five minutes later, her assistant cin with a prison guard, an accountant working for the Parrish Group, and a
fierce- looking woman.
To everyone's surprise, Antonio, who looked utterly stern, entered as well.
He glanced around at the Parrish family and then fixed his gaze on Kyla.
“As Grace's fiancé, | think | deserve to know the truth, too.”
