Stephanie made a small noise and snuggled into him, not saying anything.
If anyone could be called cruel, it was him in his darker, hidden side. But honestly, she didn’t know that side of
him at all.
Seeing she was silent, Sebastian immediately knew what she was thinking.
He gently pinched her ear and teased, “Still scared of me?”
“Huh? Not scared!” Stephanie replied quickly, a little defensive.
She wasn’t scared anymore. Thinking back on those bloody moments, she thought the fear was long gone.
“Am | really pregnant?” Stephanie asked, lifting her head off Sebastian's chest. Her eyes were wide with disbelief.
‘Pregnant? Am | really going to be a mom?‘ she thought.
Being a mom wasn’t something she had ever really considered. But hearing Sebastian say she might be
pregnant felt unbelievable,
Sebastian looked down at her, and his warm lips brushed her forehead. The heat made something stir inside her.
