With the wedding just a week away, Estelle was supposed to return to C City. According to tradition, the bride and groom weren't
supposed to see each other right before the ceremony.
Estelle wrapped her arms around his neck. “You can be the one to tell Grandpa.”
The man chuckled, peppering her face with endless kisses. “Fine, I'll tell him. I'm sure he'll understand.”

Jonathan shrugged off his robe, slipped under the covers beside her, and pulled her against him, his arm circling her waist. He
leaned down and kissed her shoulder. “You seemed to have plenty of energy a minute ago.”
“Jonathan,” Estelle’s voice was tinged with a pleading, coquettish tone, “can’t you exercise a little self-control?”
“Nope,” he whispered, his lips tracing a path up her neck to her earlobe. “You're leaving in two days. We won't see each other for
at least five days.”
“Four,” she corrected him.
“Four days is still too long. I'll be sleeping in this bed all alone for four nights.” His voice grew deeper as he nibbled at the sensitive
skin behind her ear, which quickly flushed a beautiful shade of red.
A warmth spread through Estelle, both physically and emotionally, and she stopped putting up a futile resistance.
