That night, at the Royal Mansion.
While Jonathan Lamont was in the shower, Estelle curled up on the sofa on the balcony, talking to Magdalen Sampson on the
phone. She looked languid, a hint of weariness in her delicate features, as she listened to Magdalen'’s ideas.
Magdalen was excitedly telling her all the ways she planned to torment Jonathan when he cto pick up the bride on the
wedding day.
“Oh, right, Ella, have you heard about the Winters family?” Magdalen suddenly changed the subject.
Estelle was so tired she was about to fall asleep. “What about them?” she murmured.

trying to figure out how to help her. But once the news broke that the old woman had been secretly buying up shares, the rest of
the family was too busy to bother with Sylvia anymore.”
The mention of Sylvia immediately woke Estelle up. As she listened to Magdalen, an idea flashed through her mind, and her eyes
grew thoughtful.
“Eugene seems like a gentleman,” Magdalen continued, “but he’s ruthless. | heard he’s already kicked out a good number of his
grandfather's and father’s people in just a day or two. He's decisive, that one. With Eugene being so calculating and the rest of the
Winters clan circling like vultures, I'm really worried Sylvia will get hurt.”
Her mind now occupied, Estelle wrapped up the call a few minutes later.
Jonathan cout and sat beside her, his fingers gently touching her freshly dried hair. His voice was low and maic. “Weren't
you justplaining about being tired?”
Estelle turned to him. “I just figured something out.”
“What's that?” The man’s robe was half-open, and as he leaned closer, a sense of pressure, wrapped in a faint, cool fragrance,
cwith him.
Estelle leaned back slightly, trying not to be affected by his presence. “The day my brother cback, we went tofort him. As
we were leaving, you told him that the Winters family values profit above all else and that their relationships are incredibly
