Chapter 828

Robert leaned in close to Marguerite's ear. "Miley's pregnant," he whispered, his voice barely containing his

excitement.

Marguerite blinked, momentarily stunned. "What did you say?"

"She's pregnant!" Robert repeated, grinning ear to ear. "You're going to be an aunt!"

Marguerite couldn't help but raise her voice in delight. "That's fantastic news! Why keep it a secret? Mom! Oh-"

Just as she was about to call out to Penelope, Robert quickly clapped a hand over her mouth.

With a sheepish grin to the room, he grabbed Marguerite by the collar and steered her into the bedroom.

"What's the big idea, bro?" Marguerite asked, thoroughly confused.

Robert shut the door firmly. "Keep it down! We can't tell anyone yet. It's early days, only a few weeks in, so we

need to wait three months before announcing."

Marguerite nodded, understanding dawning on her. That first trimester was always a cautious time.

"So, are you two planning to have the baby before the wedding?" she asked once she'd calmed down from her

initial excitement.

"That's the plan for now, but you have to keep this under wraps, okay?" Robert stressed.

"Got it," Marguerite nodded seriously.

Feeling relieved, Robert was about to leave when Marguerite suddenly remembered something. “Hey, do you

know any good neurologists?"

"A neurologist? | might. Why do you need one?" Robert asked, turning back to her.

"Don't worry about it. Just givetheir contacts." Marguerite held out her hand expectantly.

Robert swatted her hand away, giving her a scrutinizing look. "Tellwhat's going on first."

Marguerite glared at him, but his probing gaze made her relent. With a small sigh, she playfully pouted,

"Everyone says you're a doting brother, but I'm not feeling it. Why so stern?"

“Because | care, and | need to know what's going on in that head of yours,” Robert countered.

Marguerite knew she couldn't win. She was worried about Silas, whose headaches were partly her fault. She had

resolved to distance herself from him, yet she couldn't just ignore his condition.

She hesitated a moment before describing Silas's symptoms to Robert, carefully omitting their personal

connection and his nto avoid misunderstandings.

Thinking it was just a regular friend, Robert considered the situation thoughtfully. “If all tests are clear, it might

be psychological."

Marguerite chuckled. "Why does every unsolvable problem suddenly becpsychological with you?"

"Well, remember when Frederick lost his sense of smell? Turned out to be psychological too. We went to so many

specialists with no answers."

Marguerite nodded thoughtfully, then gave Robert a knowing look, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

"Don't look atlike that!" Robert exclaimed. "With Miley pregnant, I've got my hands full. You'll have to find

someone else."

"But | don't know any other therapists!" Marguerite said, tugging at Robert's arm, her voice tinged with a playful

whine.

Robert was both surprised and delighted by her tone. Ever since the incident six months ago, Marguerite had

been subdued and rarely smiled, let alone acted playful.

Her sudden shift in demeanor was unexpected, and it softened Robert's resolve. But with Miley needing his

attention, he couldn't commit. Then an idea struck him. "You could talk to my colleague."

"Colleague? Who's that?"

"Stella."

"Stella's in Stonebridge City, right?" Marguerite furrowed her brow. "Don't tellshe's followed you all the way

to Cresthaven."

Robert sighed, slightly exasperated. "Yep. Maybe if you chat with her, it'll keep her busy and off my back for a

while."
