Chapter 457 Mack's p.o.v.

I am not sure how to react, a part ofwants to defend my Mate and the other part is conflicted by the loyalty I have towards my Alphas. I am glad I am in an SUV with Kay and Levi, because I need to know where they stand, but I don't have to ask the question out loud.

"If they makechose I will always pick my Mate over them." Levi grumbles the moment we are across our borders.

We never agreed with Max on his opinion that a female should always listen to her Mate, that she should let her Mate deal with her problems and our Alphas didn't like it either.

Yet they decided where we would have our lunch and when Delaney put a Pack- member in her place that crossed a line Dominic lost it. He did exactly what he said he would never do and I hope he realizes his mistake before it is too late, I would hate to see Delaney change into Elyse or for her to reject her Mates.

Kay tells us that he agrees with Levi and I confirm that I agree as well, but it will leave us with a huge challenge. Where will we live if they force us to take sides in this matter? Kay tellsthat he will follow Maleah wherever he has to, as long as he gets to be with her and I believe the three of us will do just that.

We get a text from Max that our Mates weren't too pleased with us and I wonder what else might have happened. Kay pulls over once I have read him the contents of the message and the six of us try to figure out what could have happened, Levi is a bit smarter than the rest of us it seems.

"I just got an answer from your Father, Mack. Turns out Max told them his view on the situation, you remember his bullshit on a Luna or other females." He says and we all growl because this can turn out bad for all of us, especially if our Mates believe whatever it was Max told them.

I want to rush towards my Mate, but Commander stopsas Alpha Bradley approaches her and I hear Commander chuckle when he is hugging air.

Looks like Delaney understands that Maleah doesn't want to be anywhere near Alpha Bradley, because she asks to get introduced to Tara and I want to growl at the male that is hugging my Mate.

"Don't worry, he is her Grandfather." I hear a voice say behindand I look from Alpha Kenyon to the male on the front porch.

"She is Lawson's Granddaughter?" I hear Dominic ask and I finally connect the dots, my Mate is the Granddaughter of the best Assassin known in our world. Not only is Maleah the next Royal Assassin, she is also the Granddaughter of a famous Assassin. Fuck, Lawson is the Royal Assassin.

When I hear her voice through the mind-link I know we are in trouble, Dominic tells us through the mind-link to stay close to our Mates and to listen to what they have to say when they are ready to talk.

"I will not allow my Father to destroy the bond with our Mates and I will do whatever I have to do to keep Delaney by my side." Dominic says through the mind-link and I know that that goes for all of us.

We follow behind our Mates as they walk towards the venue and we sit down in the row behind them, Dominic sits behind Delaney sit behind Maleah. Besides Delaney's Father causing a pel bit of trouble at the beginning of the service and Alpha Bradley causing a ruckus during the service, it is a short and boring service.

Dominic knows that Maleah can handle herself, but the moment Alpha Bradley grabs her he punches his lights out and Kay suggests it is tfor us to leave.

Maleah's family follows us out to our SUVs and I am surprised to see Pauline standing next to Maleah's SUV, "Ready to go?" Pauline asks as she looks from Maleah to us and as Maleah turns towards us my heart sinks, Max really ruined this for us.

"We will be staying at one of my safehouses and I strongly suggest that you use the next twenty four hours to figure out what you want. I refuse to bow down to an Alpha that treats his Luna as a second class citizen.

Delaney can make her own decisions without the help of her Mates and I want you to make it clear to the Pack that her word is Law, just as much as your word as their alpha is Law. If you want to run the Pack like Max did than we will pack our stuff and move out of the territory.

If you decide to try and deceit us I will make you regret it, because you know what I am capable of and no one will ever find out the truth." Maleah says before they get into their SUV and I watch as they drive away towards the gate, I am too stunned to say something.

Commander is whining in my head as the SUV drives out of sight and I hear someone ask what happened for our Mates to leave like that.

NI Diego tells whoever asked the question what happened and the next thing know I get grabbed by the throat, "If I find out that you are mistreating my Granddaughter in any way, if I find out you are mistreating your Luna in any way there will be no place in the world you can hide from me." Lawson growls as he looks at the six of us, one by one. Dominic tells him we have no intention of treating our Mates the way their Father wants us to treat them, but he also tells him it was just a remark that slipped out.
