When he goes over it with me, I realize he made the right decisions and I tell him so. After we finish h our breakfast and head out to the cars, I even see a van and ask the Alpha about it.
He tellsit's for the survivors we might find or anything we might find at the hide-outs. The first one we are going to investigate in only a twenty minute drive away.
We pull up to a ruin of what looks like a church, just two outer walls are still standing. If it hadn't been for the intel we had, I would have driven past it. We get out of the cars and Lily tellsI have a message from Dagmar.

Lily Looking at the screen, I see the reports from the other teams cin and I hope we have more luck. One of the Alpha's Warriors walks up to us and he tellsthey found an entrance that leads underground.
I signal Marcus that he has to follow me, he nods and sends a message to Dagmar, before we head down the stairs. The place is dark, damp and cold, it givesthe creeps and I am glad that Marcus is right behind me.
At the bottom of the stairs the Alpha is waiting for us, signaling for us to be quiet. We can hear soft crying. coming from further down the corridor. I pick up my pace, not liking the sound I hear and without thinking about it I open the door.
I see cages lined up next to each other, barely any space between them and the scene in front ofmakes my knees buckle. But before I can hit the ground, two strong arms are wrapped aroundand I am glad Marcus is there to catch me.
Every cage is occupied, but I can tell that they are dead and by the smell of it, they have been for a day or two. Then the soft crying starts again, it comes from the back of the space and I pull out of Marcus' arms.
He follows close behind me, he is the first to see where the crying is coming from and he grabs my arm to turnaround. "You don't want to see that, Little One I nod my head in understanding and stay where I am as he steps around me. The sound of iron being cut is heard from behind me, but I still don't turn around.
Suddenly he is standing in front of me, holding a little bundle in his arms and two green eyes are staring up at me. He places the baby in my arms and leadsout of the space, back up the stairs and into the fresh air.
Walking to the nearest car, Marcus calls over the Pack-octor and he examens the baby in my arms. "This little boy will be fine. Marcus sends out a message to let the others know that we only found one survivor. I can see on the screen that Jenna had been unlucky too and were heading to their second location.
After a few minutes we all get back in the cars and head for our second location of the day. The Alpha's schedule had shown that starting tomorrow we would be searching one location a day, because of the distance. Our second location only turns up a smashed computer, but Dagmar instructs us to bring it along anyway.

When a nurse asks us to put him in a crib, so we can retire for the night, my head snaps up at Marcus. We will be taking him with us as soon as the Doctor gives him the all clear. Marcus says and I hug the baby boy a little closer. She looks at us and just nods her head. Walking away, she says that she will inform the Doctor. After we get back to our room, I contact Luna Dagmar and explain to her what we found.
I ask her if it is okay if I stay at the Pack-house with the baby boy. In the middle of the night we get woken up by gryingla Wande Nas I walk around the room to quiet him down Marcus says "Maybe we should nhim. We can't keep calling him Baby" I giggle at his remark, but he is right, the baby boy needs a name. After putting him back in his crib, we sit down on the bed and just stare at the sleeping boy next to our bed. "What would you like to nhim. Little One."
I think about it, a smile appears on my face and I say "Jason. And I would like to take him hwith us, Marcus He has Phas no family left." Marcus moves further on the bed, pullingwith him and soon the three of us are fast asleep. 892 1
