you!”
Leonie sobbed “Don’t scold me now. The most important thing is to save Sallie. She can’t go to jail!”

A furious look on his face, Stanley replied, “How can we save her? She hit Charlie’s girlfriend! Don’t
you know who Charlie is? He’s the young master of the James family! I tried calling his father, and he
didn’t even bother with me, just hung up the phone”
Leonie wiped away her tears “Let’s go to your dad and have him call the James family. At least they
would show your dad some respect.”
Stanley sat on the sofa, looking worried “Our Macclain family is not what it used to be. Now it’s the
Lamont family, the James family, and the Scott family who rule J City That Charlie is a hot–headed and
unpredictable guy, not someone to mess with. Even if your dad pleads with him, he might not treat us
any differently.” Hearing mention of the Lamont family, Leonie was reminded of something. “Let’s seek
help from the Lamonts. I heard that Charlie and Jonathan are good friends. We can ask Sabina for
help. She works for Jonathan and should be able to convince him.”
Hans ran down the stairs. “I think asking Ella for help would be more effective!”
“You little rascal, don’t make things worse!” Leonie irritably pushed Hans away.

Stanley was considering Leonie’s words. “We can give Sabina a call.”
“Okay, I’ll call her now!” Leonie turned back to find her phone.
Seeing that they still didn’t trust him, Hans angrily shouted, “You’re all fools!”
“What did you say, you little brat?” Stanley snapped
Hans stared back defiantly. “You’ll regret it sooner or later!”
Leonie found her phone and said to Hans, “Hans, go upstairs and play, okay? Stop making trouble,
OK?”
“Hurry up and make the call!” urged Stanley
Leonie found Sabina’s number and dialed anxiously
After six or seven rings, the call was answered. Sabina whispered, “Auntie, what’s up? I’m in a
meeting!”
Leonie choked back tears “Sabina, I didn’t mean to bother you, but your cousin Sallie is in trouble, and
only you can help her!”
Sabina stepped out of the meeting room. “What happened?”
