Chapter 1267 Callum snapped back to reality and noticed Evelyn's furrowed brow, her face etched with worry and guilt. His smile returned, easing the tension in the air, “Hey, what are you talking about? You don’t owean apology.
This kind of stuff happens all the time, no biggie.” “That's a relief,” Evelyn replied, her voice trembling slightly with the weight of her concern. No sooner had the words left her mouth than the door burst open. A gust of formidable energy charged into the room, tugging at everyone's nerves.
Evelyn turned to see Lysander carrying Thalassa into the room, his stern face tight with displeasure.

Under the watchful eyes of her mother and Callum, Thalassa felt her discomfort grow, twisting in Lysander’s arms. His sharp glance sent a clear message, and she stilled, as if doused in icy water.
The mere thought of being seen in such a compromising position was bearable when it only involved strangers, but this was different. Here she was, in front of her mother and Callum, held close by Lysander in a manner that was far too intimate.
Her dignity felt trampled, as if Lysander had ground it into the dirt beneath his leather boots, a burning humiliation.
Lysander’s piercing gaze swept over Evelyn and Callum, his voice low and icy as he commanded, “If you know what's good for you leave us!” His blunt, domineering words left Thalassa breathless, her eyes wide with disbelief and fear. [x] What was he saying? Was he suggesting they leave so he could...? And say it right in front of her mother and Callum? Evelyn, cowed by Lysander’s presence, turned pale but managed a weak smile. “Of course, we'll just be going now.” With her head bowed, Evelyn left the room.
Lysander’s words had struck a chord in Callum, his breathing becoming heavy. Despite the challenging glare, Callum slowly rose, leaning on his cane, and made his exit.
Once Callum was out, Evelyn, still under Lysander’s intimidating gaze, shut the door behind her.

Inside the room, Thalassa’s face burned with embarrassment. Lysander’s humiliation of her was nearly unbearable. “You can putdown now,” she said indignantly.
The room had two beds-one still showing the imprint of where Callum had sat. Disdain flickered in Lysander’s eyes as he set Thalassa down.
He strode over to the nightstand and picked up the phone, dialing the front desk, “Send someone up to change the sheets.” Thalassa frowned, “This room hasn't been occupied for less than two hours. The hotel only changes sheets every twelve hours. They're clean, why change them?” The moment the words left her mouth, Lysander’s icy gaze froze her in place.
His eyes burned with anger as they fixed on her. What he heard and what he latched onto was her last sentence.
