Chapter 1181
“I…I’d like a soda,” Sophia blurted, her cheeks flushed with excitement.
“Alright, kiddo, you guys get comfy and I’ll hit the cockpit,” Lysander answered them in a deep voice
and took a long stride, literally heading towards the cockpit of the airplane.
Lysander was playing along with the kids’ game, and he was all in.
Fitch couldn’t help but let a fond smile spread across his face as he watched the scene unfold. He had
seen Lysander grow up, and ever since the tragedy that took his parents, Lysander had become a
fortress of solitude, laughter and love seemed to be barred from his life. He had no woman by his side,
and he was always the lone wolf, his aura screaming ‘no trespassing’ to the world.
Over time, he had become the embodiment of cold indifference, a man who seemingly disowned the
very concept of kinship.
But the loneliness that gnawed at his heart, the solitude that was his only constant companion, was

Since Ms. Everhart and her children had arrived at Royal Estates, the harsh edges of Lysander’s
demeanor had softened, even warmed.
Perhaps others couldn’t see it, but Fitch could. He had watched Lysander grow up; he understood the
subtle shift in the man’s aura better than anyone else.
As he witnessed Lysander finally stepping onto the path of happiness, Fitch felt a tremble in his breath
and a warmth in his eyes. He wiped away a tear from the corner of his eye and slipped away quietly,
leaving Lysander to his family, giving them the space and time to build their warm togetherness.
Lysander and Thalassa spent the morning playing with the kids, who were now joyfully exhausted.
After lunch, the children retreated to their rooms for their naps.
Thalassa was tired too. She had just stepped out of Elowen’s room and was about to head to the guest
bedroom upstairs when she bumped right into Lysander’s solid chest.
Before she could gasp in surprise, she was swept off her feet, cradled in Lysander’s arms. “Lysander,
what are you doing?” Thalassa asked, her eyes widening with astonishment.
“Time for a rest,” came Lysander’s deep, husky reply.
Thalassa was speechless. She wanted to protest – she wasn’t Elowen, she wasn’t a four-year-old who
needed to be carried around
Lysander’s strides were long and purposeful as he ascended the stairs and pushed open the door to
the master bedroom.

Thalassa didn’t even get the chance to tell him he had got the wrong room before Lysander had strode
in, kicked the door shut behind them, and set her gently on the bed. His chest enveloped her, his
breaths quick and warm against her face.
Her heart raced as she looked into his eyes, feeling the rough cadence of his breathing. “I thought we

“The guest bed’s broken, had to junk it,” Lysander’s voice was low and gravelly.
“That’s quite a coincidence, isn’t it? It breaks right after I use it?” she asked, half suspecting this was
his doing.
“It’s just that coincidental,” Lysander affirmed with certainty.
Thalassa was at a loss for words as she locked eyes with him, a delicate heat growing between them,
the air seemingly thickening with every breath.
Her breathing grew more erratic, her heartbeat uncontrollable.
Lysander’s gaze was intense, his voice a deep growl as he leaned closer, “You know, Elowen reminds
me a lot of you.”
Thalassa’s heart skipped as she blurted out, “Lysander, have you fallen for me?”
He didn’t speak, but his eyes glistened, emotion flickering within them, growing more pronounced as
his excitement built.
He leaned down and captured her lips in a heated kiss.
Their fervent embrace, the pressing of their hearts against each other, beat in a wild, shared rhythm
