Chapter 505

In the VIP lounge, Sebastian asked if she wanted something to eat, but Stephanie just shook her head. Her

appetite had been dwindling lately.

“I had Elliot make sblueberry oatmeal,” Sebastian said. “Want to give it a try?”

Stephanie nestled closer to him. “Not right now,” she murmured. Her appetite was really off.

Sebastian gently ran his fingers through her hair. “You can eat a little later,” he said softly. He used to worry

about her eating too much and upsetting her stomach, but now he was more worried about her not eating at all.

Macro burst into the airport, out of breath, just as Stephanie was being hugged by Sebastian. “I got the meds,”

he said. There was so much traffic today. He almost got stuck in Long Harbor just trying to buy smedicine.

He handed the two packs of medicine to the waiter nearby. “Use one pack of each. Thanks.”

The waiter nodded politely. “Alright.”

Macro dropped onto the couch opposite Sebastian and took a long drink from the water bottle he was holding.

He was exhausted-traffic had been a mess, and he'd even run part of the way, fearing he wouldn't make it.

Luckily, they hadn't boarded the plane yet.

After gulping down half the water, Macro glanced at Sebastian. “Why are you staring atlike that?” He found

Sebastian's

gaze creepy.

Sebastian leaned back, his expression serious. “The project at the Moalee Desert needs your attention. | don’t

trust them to handle it.”

Macro’s face froze, then twisted in confusion. ‘Why bring it up again? It has been a joke before, but now... What's

really going on?‘ he wondered.

His grip tightened on the bottle. “You must be joking, huh?” he said, his voice tight. The Moalee Desert-where

even the toughest creatures would struggle to survive. It was no place for people, and Macro wasn’t going.

Sebastian moved Stephanie aside, picked up a piece of fruit from the table, and handed it to her with a gentle

smile. His actions were gentle, but his words hit Macro like a brick. “When have | ever joked?” he said, his tone

serious.

Macro’s eyes widened. “Wait, seriously? You've got a team of top-notch people. What's the worry?”

Macro shook his head. “Look, I'm not going. Not happening.” He couldn't believe Sebastian was sending him to

the Moalee Desert. ‘If he has a problem with me, he can just say it. No need for this ,’ he thought.

Sebastian glanced at him sideways, not saying a word.

Macro felt a shiver. “You're really serious?”

Sebastian just gave a slight nod. Macro’s face turned serious. He'd thought Sebastian was kidding about sending

him to the Moalee Desert, but now he realized Sebastian was serious.

“Con, man. | just killed myself getting that medicine for Stefi. You can’t be serious about this, right?” Macro

said.

Stephanie was holding a piece of fruit, not really hungry but feeling awkward just holding it in her hand. Hearing

Macro’s words, she looked at him, puzzled. “Does getting medicine really need to be that dangerous?”

Macro fell silent. ‘Of course not. | was just trying to impress Sebastian with how hard I've worked. She really had

zero clue, he thought to himself.

The waiter arrived with the medicine, and Macro pointed to Stephanie. “Give it to her. She's the one who's sick.”

The waiter nodded and set the cup in front of Stephanie. “Ms. Giovanni, this has been warmed up. Letknow

if it’s too hot.”

“Thanks,” Stephanie said with a smile.

“No problem,” the waiter replied.

Stephanie picked up the cup, tested the temperature, and nodded-it was just right.

She was about to take a sip when Sebastian reached out and grabbed her wrist. “Hold on a sec,” he said

Stephanie looked at him, confused. “What's up?”

Macro turned to Sebastian, equally baffled. ‘Is she not supposed to take the medicine if she isn’t feeling well?’ he

wondered. Sebastian glanced at Macro sharply. “Are you sure she needs to take this?”
