Chapter 516 Phoenix Villa was brightly lit as the sky darkened and city lights flickered on. Sean had been sound asleep ever since he went into his room that afternoon.

Nadine remained seated in the living room throughout, her eyes glued to her phone as she looked up medical terminology. She didn't spare even a single glance at the man sitting right across from her.

Brad was completely ignored, but he didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, he seemed to relish just sitting there, watching Nadine work, completely absorbed in her own world.

The housekeepers stood quietly to the side and couldn't help but feel envious of the way Brad looked at Nadine. All of them had always heard that Brad was ice cold, but it was clear he felt very differently about Nadine. The way he looked at her-it was practically dripping with affection.

However, Nadine was completely oblivious to it all, too absorbed in her own world to notice. She only looked up to check the twhen her stomach let out a loud growl.

"Yikes! It's already past 7:00 pm! Just how long has Sean been napping?" Once she realized she had spent at least two hours sitting in the living room of Phoenix Villa, she shot up from the couch and made a beeline for the second floor.

She couldn't believe that she and Brad had managed to get along for the past two hours. This wasn't how things were supposed to be between them! They were destined to be strangers. How could they have spent so much ttogether in the sspace? Overwhelmed by regret, she rushed up the stairs, two steps at a time. When she pushed open the door to Sean's room, she noticed he was still sound asleep. She couldn't help but walk over to his bedside and touch his forehead.

Sean hardly ever napped for so long in the afternoon. She was starting to worry that he might be coming down with something.

I.ne After feeling his forehead, she leaned in to check his breathing. Once she was sure everything was fine, she let out a sigh of relief. Nadinenudged him gently and tried to wake him up. "It's tto wake up, baby." Annoyed at being disturbed, Sean swatted at the air with his chubby hands, rolled over, and went back to sleep. Nadine didn't want Sean to lose sleep later in the night, so she gave him another gentle nudge.

"You've been asleep for a long time, baby. If you don't wake up soon, we won't be able to go home." Sean pulled the covers over his head and let out a few sleepy grunts before drifting off again. Nadine was about to call out to him again, but Brad walked in and gently placed his hand on hers. "Leave him becHe's worn out from running around all morning." He silently thanked the little one in his heart. If it weren't for Sean, he probably wouldn't have been able to spend even a minute alone with Nadine.

fallen back into deep sleep, and felt torn. She didn't know what to do. It didn't seem right to wake him up Wight to when he was so tired. But it was already dark outside, and it wouldn't be appropriate for them to stay at Phoenix Villa.

While she was hesitating, she noticed that Brad was still holding onto her hand, so she hastily pulled away, putting as much distance between them as possible.

Even though he was a little upset at how she treated him like he was the plague, he didn't let it show, afraid she might turn around and leave right away. He hurriedly explained, "I've asked the housekeepers to prepare dinner. Since Sean still wants to sleep, let's let him rest a little longer." Brad slightly bent his back as he asked, "Would you be so kind as to joinfor dinner?" His eyes were bright as he looked at Nadine with hope.
