Chapter 9 Miss Mistress

This was Charlotte's first tmeeting Sarah.

She was undeniably beautiful, elegant, poised, and exuding an air of intellectual charm.

No wonder Arthur never moved on, even trying to make Charlotte like her.

Charlotte quickly composed herself and pretended to have a sudden realization.

Pointing at Sarah, she exclaimed, “Oh, | remember now! You're Arthur's mistress!”

Sarah’s smile faltered. “No, no, you've got wrong. Arthur and | aren't like that.”

Charlotte wasn't buying it. She pulled out her phone, showing a photo of Sarah and Arthur together. “Here’s the

proof. Still denying it?”

With a playful pat on Sarah’s shoulder, she grinned. “Relax, I'm not here to fight. I've lost my memory and don’t

even remember marrying Arthur. I'm planning to divorce him. If you two love each other, doa favor.

Convince him to sign the papers, okay?”

Sarah was caught off guard. She didn’t expect this turn of events. A flicker of doubt crossed her eyes. “You don’t

remember anything?”

“Not a thing,” Charlotte said seriously. “Miss Mistress... oh, sorry, Ms. Miller... you'll help me, right? I'm counting

on you

to talk him into it.”

Without waiting for a response, Charlotte turned and walked away, her steps steady and purposeful.

She wasn’t sure why Sarah approached her, but she saw an opportunity.

If Arthur wouldn't agree to a divorce, maybe Sarah could help.

Sarah had practically walked right into her hands, so why not use her?

But as Charlotte walked away, her smile faded.

It felt like an invisible hand was squeezing her heart, leaving her breathless and aching.

Sarah was always the one Arthur truly

cared about, while she was just... nothing. How ironic.

“Charlotte.” A voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

Turning, she saw Diana approaching, her sharp features radiating a frosty beauty. Her cold presence stood out in

the busy bar.

“Diana, it’s been a while,” Charlotte greeted, stepping forward for a hug.

Diana stayed still, her gaze cool. “Didn’t you lose your memory? How much have you forgotten?”

Charlotte winked playfully. “I lied.”

“What?” Diana's eyes widened in shock.

Later, they found a booth and sat down.

Charlotte spilled everything, leaving , nothing out.

When she finished, she downed her wine in one go, eyes stinging. “Five years wasted on that guy. What a joke.”

“I'll find someone to teach Arthur a lesson,” Diana snapped. She hadn't expected Charlotte to be just a stand-in.

“No need,” Charlotte said with a weak smile. “I'm done. Totally done. Never falling for him again. Tto find

myself.”

Suddenly, the music exploded in the

room.

Charlotte jumped up and dashed to the

dance floor, moving freely to the beat.

Upstairs, in a fancy VIP room with a view of the club...

“Hey Arthur, isn’t that your wife down there? Wait, is she... pole dancing?”

Arthur froze mid-sip, wine glass in hand. He stalked to the window, eyes narrowing.

Below, Charlotte was stealing the show. Wild. Free. Magnetic. Every eye in the place was on her.
