Behind the staff was a curtain that opened to the sides. A slight breeze blew from inside, lifting a corner of the curtain and revealing a pitch black corridor.

From tto time, shrill screams sounded. Winter swallowed and grabbed Miranda's hand, shuffling forward.

Miranda had to practically drag her there. She found the way Winter was cowering hilarious. "Maybe we shouldn't go in.

"No, we're already here!" Miranda was speechless. Those words would be Winter's downfall.

Winter was clearly terrified, but she refused to admit it. She forced herself to put on a brave face and pulled Miranda forward.

Suddenly, a horrifying puppet popped out. "Ah! Mimi, save me!" Hansel whipped around. He thought he had heard someone shout out, "Mimi".

He looked around, but he still didn't see the familiar face he was looking for. He couldn't help but frown.

Ingrid hadn't noticed that Hansel was distracted. She held onto his arm with a fearful expression. "Hans, I'm scared. You have to protect me, okay?" Hansel returned to his senses and grunted noncommittally.

The path was completely dark, save for red lights that flashed occasionally. Ingrid held onto Hansel's arm tightly the entire time, ducking behind him in fear. She didn't dare to move forward on her own at all.

Suddenly, an actress dressed like a female ghost appeared. Half her face had been sloughed off, and her skin was dripping with blood. Frightened, Ingrid wailed. She didn't dare leave Hansel's side at all.

"I'm terrified. Hans, is that thing gone yet?" She buried her face in Hansel's chest, shivering.

Hansel patted her back casually. "You're all right now." The actress' makeup was poorly done, and her costwas incredibly dirty. He found it very hard to understand how anyone could get scared by this.

Miranda wouldn't...

+15 BONUS When that nsurfaced in his mind, his body tensed up unconsciously. Why did she always pop up in his head? He was the one who'd wanted to break up a long tago! "Hans?" Ingrid raised her head. When she saw his eyes darken momentarily, she was confused.

Hansel masked his emotions. "Didn't you want to continue? Let's go." Ingrid wasn't the only one who was screaming her head off.

Before Winter had entered the haunted house, she'd already tried to toughen herself. However, the moment she saw the zombie in the coffin suddenly open its eyes, she was startled. She instantly covered her face and took off, disappearing into the darkness.

Miranda wanted to grab hold of her, but the latter scurried off so quickly that she didn't have tto react. With that speed, she should be running marathons.

Winter had run in the direction of the exit. However, after she passed through it, the exit closed.

Miranda had no choice but to find an alternative route. As she walked around, she happened to catch someone's eye.

The actor laying in the coffin blinked. At that moment, he flicked the tongue prop in his mouth at her. It looked rather pathetic and even a bit funny.

Miranda was quiet for a couple of seconds. Then, she stepped forward and pressed him back down. "What a kind person," the actor thought.

There were three exits, but given the dim lighting, it wasn't a surprise that Miranda got lost.

After roaming the place for ten minutes, she felt like this place should be called a maze instead of a haunted house.

After all, who would design three exit routes that practically looked then same? One of them was even a dead end. What if there was an emergency? In the next second, the fire alarm went off above her head.

swast She was at a loss for words. This was too much of a coincidence. Had-she just jinxed herself? As soon as the fire alarm went off, everyone in the haunted house began to panic and swarm toward the exits.

+15 BONUS.

Miranda was in a room with fewer people, but all of them still rushed out.

She didn't know where the exit was, so she could only follow the crowd. The space around her grew narrow and cramped.

She frowned when she felt like it was difficult to catch her breath. The only thing she could do was slow her pace. D
