last night for now?” he suggested. “I just talked to Russell's uncle, and he agreed to meet with you guys today.
Does that work for you?”
My shoulders slumped with relief since he had been the one to suggest not to talk about what happened under
the oak tree. “Yes,” | said gratefully.

| paused. Was that smart? | never knew which version of Alexander | was going to get. But it would be smart to

“Since when do you get car sick?” Aiden asked as he turned to look at his sister.
She swatted him on the back of his head. “Since always,” she snapped.
