Welcome!

The main world of Nightlife exists primarily in the city of Lux where you, [Lukas], begins your life. Get a chance to date three possible Vampire girls, from the fun and obsessed Chaerin, the sweet and innocent Lily and the cold beauty Serena–

Inside of the van, the rest of the Vampires mostly chose to be silent. It gave Lukas the opportunity to pretend that he was just staring off into the distance when he was actually checking on the screen.

Lukas was never too keen on details, but now he saw the words 'main world' and 'primarily' which meant to say that there was far more to the world than what he knew.

And to be fair, he was already exploring it more now.

'We know it's not just a visual sim date so please drop the pretense that it's all fun and games. What else can you show me? Show me the possible path of power that I'm taking in now and how to improve on it please–'

"Aura…" Lukas mumbled underneath his breath. Didn't the Sanguise House ancestor say something about people not being able to use their auras? He glanced at the Vardoken siblings, Chaerin and then Theodore discreetly.

There was something different about their presence, but he wasn't exactly sure if that was what it meant to have an aura. But yeah, was 'Aura' itself a possible skill to learn? The lady in the dagger said he didn't know anything about it–

"Are you trying to discern their auras when you don't even know yourself?"

Lukas' eyes widened as the lady's voice suddenly filled his ears, but it didn't seem like anybody else but him heard it. Everybody was stuck on focusing on their own business.

Theodore was still driving, Stacy and Alexei were having a hushed conversation and as for Chaerin? Well, Lukas glanced down at the beautiful red-head who laid her head on his lap.

He combed his fingers through her hair and sighed inwardly.

'I'm the only one who can hear you, yes?'

"Of course. Those who are unworthy do not deserve to listen to my wise words… but yes, you spoke of Aura didn't you? You seem to have taken my words into consideration."

'Well, yeah.' Lukas silently agreed. 'I feel something, it's different for each one, but you said people don't know how auras work anymore–'

"I based it by looking at you. Everyone here isn't honing or training their auras anymore, but it does not mean that they're not able to accidentally let it grow. Some have stronger ones. For example, the one in front–"

'Theodore.'

"I don't have time for names. But yes, that boy's aura has an innate quality of darkness, an impressive amount of darkness fueled even more so by the fact that he has managed to kill some people."

'You can tell that by their auras?'

"Of course! Not only that, but people who come from the same family tend to have the same aura which also affects their character. Or rather, perhaps it is by their character that their aura is formed. This darkness speaks much of a turmoiled House, those who like to hide themselves but hmm… have much, as repetitive as this sounds, darker nature."

'Hah! That's impossible.' Lukas couldn't help but chuckle.

It caught the look of both Stacy and Alexei who gave him an odd stare. Lukas cleared his throat while he heard the Vampire lady's annoyed click of her tongue in his ear.

"You distrust my wisdom?"

'Well, my girlfriend is that guy's cousin. And I can assure you, she doesn't have a single bad bone in her body. Sure, Theodore was initially all happy-go-lucky, and now he's all brooding and temperamental–but Lily? Not a chance.'

"You… you prove myself by just saying that. But it's not my problem if you are fooled by that girl." the lady sighed.

'But yeah, you said siblings have the same aura? What about those two?'

"I was about to go for them until you interrupted me."

'Right. Sorry, please continue.'

"As I was saying, out of these two Vardoken siblings–it is the young man who has a greater aura. Their nature can be ascribed as… well, it's not as easy to say it's one quality but a bit of a mixture."

'I thought it would be something like blood.' Lukas frowned.

"That is the Sanguise's–!" the woman said indignantly, but eventually sighed. "Well, to be entirely truthful, most Houses do tend to share similar auras because the Progenitor is said to have all qualities, so, I guess it is blood–but an enriching quality."

'Enriching?'

"The Sanguise House's aura is of blood that's for far more overpowering and dominating tendencies."

'Like your blood rain.'

"Exactly–that's actually the prime example of a trained aura made manifest." a rather proud quality took in the woman's voice. "However, these Vardokens… their auras are mostly for enriching and empowering that of others. They were made to rule–well, rule is but a word, but their aura is great for commanding others."

'I see, I see. Well, what about my girl over here?' Lukas glanced down at the resting Chaerin and smiled.

The woman sighed.

"A moon-like aura. Something more of reflection, showing what others desire and really, nothing too impressive. I guess there's something about being sensitive and emotional too. A soft nature."

'Really?'

"Yes, really." she said, vexed.

'What about me then?'

"... You–well, you…" the lady paused as if reading him. "...You have to figure that one out for yourself."
