Arthur could somewhat tell by now that while Dragon's Insight could provide additional and hidden information, it wasn't always straightforward. Sometimes it could have vague meanings.
That was also what he was thinking after looking at the bandits.
"Hmm… perhaps I'll know if I encounter more of them," Arthur muttered to himself.
He flicked the blood away from the spear head and continued onward. He had gotten no loot from the bandits as they didn't even have any coins on them. It showed just how their condition was being exiled and forced to run away.
An hour passed without any issues when Arthur heard a noise. It was a strange cry and had echoed from the distance.
~KILI~
~KILIKILI~
"So they finally appear…" Arthur smiled as he recognized the cry.
~TREMBLE~
Faint vibrations were felt as a multitude of footsteps could be heard approaching.
"Huu~ these might actually pose a bit of a challenge." Arthur gripped the Key Spear tightly as he stood in an attack stance.
A couple of seconds later, a few creatures could now be seen. They were about a meter tall and had two long legs. Their bodies were covered with dense and thick feathers and were dark brown in color. A short and thick neck was attached to their torso while a hooked beak was present on their heads.
"Hook Beak Sprinter Birds…" Arthur recognized a rather infamous mob.
>Dragon's Insight has been successfully activated!<

The mob in front of Arthur was similar to an ostrich except in the fact that it was shorter due to the lack of a long neck. But at the same time, it looked a lot more dangerous than an ostrich.
It didn't help that this beast was actually a predator and hunted down other beasts.
"That's a lot of them…" Arthur counted about six of the Hook Beak Sprinter Birds.
Even with his current capabilities, Arthur knew it won't be easy to fight them alone.
"Seems like its time for you to fight too, Dragon Horn Beetle!" Arthur finally summoned his pet beast.
>Dragon Horn Beetle has been summoned!<
A flicker of lights shot out of Arthur's body, which then expanded to a large size.
An body armored in a thick carapace appeared in front of him. Its size was intimidating, with the long horn on its head. Its compound eyes glimmered in the sunlight while a low chittering sound was heard from its mouth.
"KREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!" The Dragon Horn Beetle let out a loud cry, seeing the enemies in front of it.
There was only anger in its voice, seeing that some creatures were trying to threaten its master.
The cry of the Dragon Horn Beetle echoed across the forest, astonishing all beasts that heard it.
Even the Hook Beaked Sprinter bird was shocked, as the presence of the beetle was simply terrifying on an innate level.
>Dragon Horn Beetle has intimidated the Hook Beak Sprinter Birds!<
>The Hook Beak Sprinter Birds will be wary of the Dragon Horn Beetle<
The demeanor of the Hook Beaked Sprinter Birds became a bit more reserved from before. They had charged up to Arthur to hunt him down like a prey, but now it seemed like they had met a dangerous foe.
But their wariness was enough to give the Dragon Horn Beetle and Arthur a chance to act.
"Draconid Breath!" Arthur commanded right away while also rushing to the side, trying to circle around the beasts.
With his command, the air in front of the Dragon Horn Beetle's mouth flickered as a strong heat was felt. A second later, a fiery blaze shot out of the Beetle's mouth at a great speed hitting the Hook Beak Sprinter Birds.
Since the six Hook Beak Sprinters Birds were sending close together, they were all hit by the fiery breath of the Dragon Horn Beetle.

With their bodies that were covered in dense feathers, fire was the worst kind of attack that could have hit them. It was enough to ignite all of them, while instantly killing the one Hook Beak Sprinter Bird that was in the center and was hit head on.
The dead Hook Beak Sprinter Bird collapsed to the ground, while its corpse continued to burn. The other birds though, were not so lucky as the burning made them crazy.
~KIIIIIIII!~
They let out pain filled cries and ran around trying to put out the fire on their bodies. Unfortunately for them, it was not so easy. Not to mention, the ones that were injured the most couldn't muster strength long enough to do that.
They could only run a few meters before Arthur struck them down.

"Three down, three to go!" Arthur quickly moved to the next Hook Beak Sprinter Bird that was the most injured.
In this time their HP kept on falling, as the burns continued to hurt them.
"KREEE~!" The Dragon Horn Beetle was also not idle and attacked the bird that had come near it while running around.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmWith the fire burning on their bodies, they didn't really think about where they were running and ran into the beetle.
~THUD~
The Dragon Horn Beetle showed no mercy and directly used its horn.
The Horn slammed into the Hook Beak Sprinter Bird with a great power, hurling it across the ground.

Arthur in turn, attacked the immobilized Hook Beak Sprinter Bird, putting it out of its misery.

In the meantime, the Dragon Horn Beetle charged towards the last remaining Hook Beak Sprinter bird. Its large body was like a tank hurtling towards a woods building and easily mowed it down.
The Large horn of the beetle was its strongest weapon and the Hook Beak Sprinter Bird stood no chance in front of it.
Its flesh gave way to the horn, being skewered straight through it.

With the final kill, the Dragon Horn Beetle also hit Level 9, its stats increasing as well.
"That went way better than I thought," Arthur couldn't help but say.
While he had known that the Dragon Horn Beetle would be stronger than other beasts despite being of a lower level than them, the reality was still stunning.
Just one Draconid breath had been enough to basically end the Hook Beak Sprinter Birds.
One could also say that fire was their weakness thus it had been a lot more effective, but it was also true that even if there was a mage using fire magic on them, it would not have been this effective.
After all, the spells they would get would be a lot weaker than the Draconid breath, not to mention they would only target a single enemy instead of several.
Another great thing was the intimidating presence of the Dragon Horn Beetle.
'Looks like the bloodline of a dragon has more effects than are apparent.' Arthur thought to himself.
But it was at this time that he saw a new notification.
