Chapter 37
Thinking about it made him feel oddly at ease. After Finnian left, Amara got ready to head out and watch the
filming.
The scene in question was Keith's solo performance, but it was almost tfor Liliana's part. Just then, Liliana
approached Amara and said, "Ms. Sullivan, could you tweak my upcoming scene? It's a bit too revealing, and my
husband won't be happy about it."
After she spoke, a nearby extra couldn't help but comment, "Liliana, your relationship with Mr. Everly must be
amazing. Does he love you so much that he can't stand you being close to other men?"
Liliana chuckled and openly admitted, "Yes, he adores me. We've always had a great relationship."
Despite Keith's probing questions the other day, which stirred srumors about her and Finnian's relationship,
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFinnian's frequent visits and his kind demeanor toward her had put those rumors to rest.
Liliana glanced at Amara, her eyes gleaming with smugness, but Amara remained unmoved. "Ms. Porter, the
scene can't be changed. If your husband is unhappy, that's a personal issue. Please don't let personal matters
affect your work."
Upon hearing this, Liliana bit her lip, seemingly displeased. But she quickly composed herself and smiled,
"Alright, let's leave it as is."
Liliana turned and walked away, and Amara watched her retreating figure, trying hard to suppress her envy.
Although she hated to admit it, she was indeed envious of Liliana. She did her best not to let it interfere with her
work, and so far, she had managed well.
Soon, the next scene began filming, the very scene Liliana had found too revealing. | was a pivotal moment for
Isabella and the king's relationship, so the bed scene was essential, and Amara insisted on keeping it.
But as the scene played out, just as Liliana was about to be pinned on the bed by the king, she wobbled and
collapsed to the floor.
Everyone froze. Keith, dressed in his royal robe, stood up, his brows furrowed. "She's fainted."
Chaos ensued, with people rushing over to help and calling for an ambulance, carefully moving Liliana to safety.
Amara watched the commotion, frowning. Did Liliana's collapse have anything to do with her refusal to alter the
scene?
She refrained from checking on Liliana, instead returning to her break room. She reread the script, reassuring
herself that the scene was crucial and her decision was justified before closing the script.
Then, there was a knock on the door. She called out, "Cin," and Finnian entered with a darkened face.
Finnian's expression was grim, his presence intimidating as he approached Amara and questioned, "You refused
to change her scene?"
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAmara clenched her fists. She had just received a text from Cedric, explaining that Liliana fainted because she
hadn't eaten that morning, not because of the scene. This knowledge eased her conscience about her decision.
But Finnian's accusatory tone suggested he blamed her for Liliana's collapse.
"Yes, | refused Ms. Porter's request to change the scene because it couldn't be altered. Besides, her fainting had
nothing to do with the scene; it was because she skipped breakfast."
