Chapter 734
"Ricky, when we do think we can officially acknowledge the triplets as our grandchildren?"
Alice took a bite of her food and said dully while chewing it.
Ricky was not thinking about anything like that. He took a piece of chicken and put it into his bowl before he comforted
Alice. 'Calm down. It's going to happen in just a matter of time. Didn't Sean tell US to give him some time? You should
just sit back and wait patiently.”
Alice sighed sorrowfully. "Guess that's my only choice, then.”
The butler walked briskly toward them after Alice said that. "Mr. and Mrs. Anderson, Ms. Herring is here," he spoke softly.
"Ms. Herring?" Alice was not expecting Joelle to be there at all.
'Mrs. Anderson, it's me."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtA soft voice spread across the room. Joelle was wearing a light green sweater and a pair of white knitted trousers
as she walked into the house gracefully.
Alice looked over and smiled gently, "Joelle, it's you! What brings you here? Have you had dinner? Come and eat
something if you haven't."
"It's okay, Mrs. Anderson. I've eaten already."
Joelle smiled courteously and said, "I came here today because I have something about work to talk about with you
and Mr. Anderson. I didn't mean to interrupt your dinner. Please take your time to finish your meal. I'll just sit on the
sofa and wait."
Joelle turned around and sat on the sofa while she said that
Alice saw how polite she was and went on with her dinner. After she was done, she sat opposite Joelle and started
talking with her.
"Joelle, it's nice to see you again. What's on your mind? Just tell me."
Alice poured a cup of tea for Joelle personally while saying that.
"Thank you, Mrs. Anderson."
Joelle took the cup from Alice and took a sip. Then, she said while trying to get some information out of Alice
according to her plan, "Mrs. Anderson, I had a long discussion with my grandpa at home today. We both agreed that
even though I can learn a lot of things and have tremendous growth by working as Sean's secretary at Anderson
Corporation, I'll eventually have to go back and manage my family's business.
"So, I'm thinking about resigning as Sean's secretary, so I can start taking over my family's business. That way, I
can help make my grandpa's work easier."
She paused and smiled awkwardly. "Of course, Sean taught me a lot of things these days, and I'm more than happy
to work with him. However, he has Ms. May now. I'm afraid that Ms. May would mind that Sean has a woman as his

Joelle bowed her head down after she said that.
Tm sure that Mrs. Anderson will say something to stop me from quitting if she still wants me to get closer to Sean.' She
figured to herself inwardly.
After all, Alice was pretty fond of her back then.
However, things took an unexpected turn for Joelle as Ricky agreed with what she said without even hesitating. "Sure.
That's a good thing too if you have the thoughts of taking over your family's business."
"Yeah. Joelle, the fact that Sean made you sick previously is still bothering me. I just feel like I owe you for that! And, I
took some time to think about it. Sean is really too busy with his work, and he has no time to look after you. So, it's
better for you to go home and help your grandpa with his business."
Alice found a chance and chimed in. She looked gentle and sounded very calm. She genuinely wanted the best for Joelle.
Sean had already got together with Molly.
So, there was no reason for Alice to keep Joelle around her son. It would be best for her to leave as soon as possible.
■Joelle's a classy and polite girl. I'm sure that she can find someone that suits her better.' Alice thought to herself.
