Chapter 647 Unknown Entities
“Don’t you find your remark contradicting?” Caroline asked.
Evan replied, “I don’t think so!”
Caroline couldn’t help but retort, “If you don’t believe in baseless superstitions, why do you care about his
gift to Lia?”
Evan explained, I’m concerned that the item might not be clean.”
Caroline asked, “Could it be contaminated? He doesn’t strike me as a careless person!”
Axel and Tyler exchanged glances after hearing their argument.
They soon sighed and chose not to get involved.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtEvan still wanted to argue, but Neil stopped him. “Alright, it’s just an amulet. I know Benjamin. He’s a good
person,” Neil reassured them.
Neil realized that things could have escalated if he hadn’t intervened.
Evan and Caroline sulked all the way back to Bayview Villa.
As soon as Evan got out of the car, he left with Reuben.
Neil carried Liora and, with Axel and Tyler, joined Caroline in entering the house.
After setting down Liora, Neil said, “Don’t be upset anymore, Carol, I have to return to Xander Residence.”
Caroline nodded and said, “Okay.”
As Neil left, Caroline checked on Liora, who was sitting on the sofa with a pale face.
She approached, placed Liora on her lap, and asked, “Lia, can you tell me what’s bothering you today?”
Liora stared blankly ahead, seemingly unable to hear Caroline.
Tyler thought for a moment and said, “Mommy, is it related to what the old man said?”
Caroline couldn’t recall. “What did he say?”
“He mentioned that Lia’s health is delicate,” Axel explained.
Caroline frowned as she wasn’t an expert in this area. She then remembered Eira.
“Ty, please go get Eira,” she requested.
Tyler got up and walked to the kitchen, returning with Eira shortly.

Noticing Liora’s unusual behavior, Eira sat down and asked, “What’s wrong with Lia, Carol?”
Caroline explained Benjamin’s comments from their visit to the graveyard earlier in the day.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEira responded with a serious expression. I’m not sure if you believe in mysticism, Carol. I used to be
curious about it, but I’m not particularly skilled in that field. However, I do know a bit. Children shouldn’t
visit graveyards. Liora is a girl, which might make her more sensitive. Graveyards have many unknown
types of energy, and Lia might be scared.”
Eira gently touched Liora’s forehead and waved her hand in front of her. “Lia?”
Liora remained unresponsive, lost in her own thoughts.
Eira sighed. “Let her rest, and well check on her later.”
Caroline nodded and placed Liora on the sofa, gently patting her back until she fell into a deep sleep.
When it was time for dinner, Caroline tried to wake Liora. “Lia, it’s dinner time.”
Liora turned over and shouted in alarm.
Caroline was taken aback and stared at her in surprise. “Lia, why are you shouting?”
Liora continued to mumble in an unknown language, not responding to her.
Eira rushed out of the kitchen, worried by the commotion.
Feeling Liora’s forehead, Eira furrowed her brow. “Lia has a fever!”
