Chapter 93 Crying Like She’d Lost A Loved One

Hadley was furious! Eric was the root of all her troubles!

Whirling around, Hadley lunged at him, clutching his shirt. Her eyes, red and furious, bore into him.

“Why are you doing this to me? Can't you just leavebe?”

Her daughter was on the verge of undergoing surgery.

Though unspoken, the fears were real; Mathias had warned her-surgery was always a gamble. No surgeon could

promise a flawless outcome.

And if, heaven forbid, something went wrong with Joy-

Hadley needed to ensure that Joy received her Minnie doll before the operation!

“You caused this mess!” Tears streamed down Hadley’s cheeks as she shook uncontrollably. “Everything's

ruined! | don’t want to see you ever again! Just get out of here!”

In a fit of rage, she pummeled him with her fists and kicked furiously.

Eric made no move to retaliate-not because he would never strike a woman, especially not his woman, but

because he was utterly taken aback.

He hadn't foreseen Hadley breaking down over a toy.

It was merely a toy, yet her tears flowed as though she had lost someone dear.

“Hadley, please, calm down,” he said, trying to console her.

“Get out of my sight! | don’t want you here! Please, just letbe!”

“Hadley...”

Realizing she was beyond consolation, Eric decided to act. He scooped her up in his arms, cradling her like a

child.

Hadley was dumbfounded.

What was he thinking? Would he ever stop?

“Eric, letdown!” She writhed against his grasp.

“That's not going to happen.”

She was determined? So was he. If words failed, actions would have to suffice. Silently, he continued to carry her

forward.

Chapter 93 Gryingtika chantot A Loved One

Hadley’s rage holled over

She ducked her head and sank her teeth into his neck with all her might

“Ouch!” Eric winced in pain, his brows knitting together. Was she trying to bite his neck off?

This was the first the truly enw the ferocity in her. She was like a wild, untamed creature-a feral little thing

with no other options, he relazed his hold and released her.

As soon as she was free, Hadley dashed away.

“Stay right there!”

He anticipated her escape and quickly grabbed her wrist, making her stumble.

“Try to escape, and you'll lose any chance at that collector's edition Minnie.” And with that-he released her. He

dismissively gestured for her to go. “Go ahead-try running again.”

Hadley was reeling. What was he implying?

Eric allowed himself a slight grin but offered no further clarification. Hadley had ceased her resistance just as he

expected.

He laughed softly, feeling where she had bitten him; his touch revealed a smear of blood.

Did she really make him bleed?

“Are you skind of mantis?”

What?

Confused, Hadley blinked. What was he trying to say?

With a teasing tone, Eric pointed at his neck. “Look how hard you've just bitten me! Female mantises never bite

until after their business, you know.”

Hadley was bewildered by the situation. What mantis? What was he trying to say?

“Just wait here,” Eric instructed without elaborating himself. “You'll get that toy if you stay put and avoid trouble.

No need to camp overnight.”

He then proceeded to make a call on his phone.

Within moments, the call was connected.

“It’s me,” Eric said into the phone.

On the other line was his assistant, Phillips.

“Who's managing Evergrand Mall tonight? Get them to meetat the side entrance,” he instructed casually, as

if it were a trivial matter.

“And, I'll send you a picture of...”

Turning to Hadley, he asked, “Got a photo of that Minnie toy?”

After a brief pause, Hadley vigorously nodded. “Yes, | do!”

She quickly retrieved her phone, found the image, and showed it to him.

Eric glanced at the photo briefly. “Good, now send it over to me.”

As Hadley stood frozen, somewhat shocked by his actions, she slowly cto grasp his intent.

“What's the delay?” Eric's expression grew stern, his tone a stark warning. “Send it now.”

“Right, okay.”

This opportunity was for Joy, and missing it wasn’t an option. Despite everything, this was Eric’s mess to fix.

They were merely settling the score.

With a determined clench of her jaw, Hadley sent him the photo.

Eric quickly sent the photo to Phillips and added, “Make sure they open up; | need to pick up one of those.”

“Got it, sir.”

Soon after the call ended, activity stirred behind the mall's side entrance.

As the roll-up door began to rise, light spilled out from within, stopping when it was just high enough for a man

to pass under.

“Mr. Flynn!” The man greeted enthusiastically as he emerged.

He was a young man, perhaps in his early thirties, dressed in the standard uniform of Evergrand Mall employees.

His nbadge identified him as the manager whose presence Eric had just demanded.

With a sycophantic grin, he welcomed Eric. “So glad you could make it, Mr. Flynn. Please, right this way.”

Eric, maintaining his typical poise, entered with a slight nod.

“Con.” He signaled to Hadley with a brief gesture.

The manager then turned to her, his smile broadening. “This way, Miss.”

Recognizing the importance of anyone in Eric Flynn's company at such a late hour, especially for a mere doll, the

manager was meticulously courteous.

Hadley paused before moving forward.

... Inside, the boutique was brightly lit and already bustling with activity.

The manager was coordinating with his team. “Just a moment, Mr. Flynn. We're fetching it now.”

Eric acknowledged with a brief nod, his demeanor unruffled.

Hadley felt a mix of emotions as she looked around.

The wealth of the Flynn family was no secret. Observing how easily Eric commanded the scene suggested

significant Flynn investments in Evergrand Mall. This wasn’t just influence; it was financial power in action.

Money indeed made the world go round, a timeless truth.

The preparations were swift. The manager had warned the staff, ensuring their prompt cooperation.

Chapter 93 Crying Like She’d Lost A Loved One

Shortly, a staff member wheeled a cart stocked with a big box toward them.

“Here it is, sir.”

“Let’s see it, then,” instructed the manager.

“Right away, sir.”

The staff member quickly opened the box, revealing a second, more elegant case inside-a clear acrylic box.

Within it, a Minnie Mouse doll stood about 20 inches tall, adorned with a vibrant red bow and matching dress.

Eric glanced at Hadley, his expression inquiring. “Is this the one you were after?”

Hadley’s face brightened immediately. “Yes, that’s the one!”

It was the very Minnie Mouse doll that Joy had set her heart on.

“Very well.”

A hint of a smile played on Eric’s lips as he witnessed her enthusiasm. He instructed the manager, “Pack it up.”

“Certainly, Mr. Flynn.”

The manager signaled his staff to start wrapping the item.

Eric then mentioned casually, “Charge it to my account.”

“Right away, Mr. Flynn-"

“Hold on a moment!”
