Chapter 201 She’s My New Girlfriend
With Phillips’ words smoothing the way, Hadley effortlessly entered the Flynn Group, ascending directly to the
top floor that housed the CEO’s imposing office.
This wasn’t unfamiliar territory; even the secretaries acknowledged her presence warmly, their subtle smiles of
recognition clear.
Hadley noticed her photo discreetly displayed at their desks, a silent testament to her standing-she was the
woman their boss himself had marked as important, someone they absolutely needed to remember.
“Good morning, Miss Pearson,” one of the secretaries greeted cheerfully, gesturing gracefully towards the door.
She paused respectfully, allowing Hadley to proceed unaccompanied.
“Thanks,” Hadley responded softly, offering an appreciative nod.
“Of course.”
Stepping inside, Hadley was immediately struck by the unexpected calm.
Contrary to Phillips‘ description of a CEO consumed by relentless activity, Eric appeared surprisingly at ease.
And, to her growing intrigue, he wasn’t alone.
Eric was lounging comfortably in his leather chair, his eyes closed in quiet relaxation.
Behind him stood a young woman, her striking figure accentuated by a spaghetti strap gown that grazed her
ankles. Her makeup was bold, amplifying her allure.
Neither seemed to notice Hadley’s quiet entry.
The woman lifted her graceful hands, gently working her fingers into Eric's tense shoulders..
With a playful lilt, she asked, “Is this pressure comfortable, Mr. Flynn?”
“Mm-hmm,” Eric murmured lazily, a serene expression softening his features. “It’s good, but you can go a bit
firmer
“Huh?
The woman's eyes widened slightly in uncertainty.
Firmer pressure? Was he genuinely treating her like ssort of masseuse?
Hadley cleared her throat lightly. “Excuse me. Didn't mean to interrupt.” “Huh?”

The young woman glanced up sharply, her initial relief swiftly replaced by unease. Before her stood another
woman whose beauty was effortless, unadorned yet strikingly superior to her own carefully crafted appearance
A pang of insecurity surged through her instantly.
“May | ask who you are?” the woman queried cautiously, maintaining an overly sweet smile to mask her
irritation. “Do you need something?”
Hadley didn’t acknowledge the woman's question, focusing instead entirely on Eric.
“Phillips sent me. He mentioned you wanted to meet.”
Eric continued as if he hadn't heard, seemingly absorbed in the massage.
Hadley’s brows knitted slightly as uncertainty crept in. Should she leave?
But remembering Elissa, she resisted the urge to walk away, choosing instead to remain firm.
After a lengthy pause, Eric finally opened his eyes, though he still didn’t acknowledge Hadley’s presence
immediately.
Glancing briefly at his watch, he instructed calmly, “That's enough.”
“Yes, Mr. Flynn,” the woman responded promptly, stepping back and assuming a poised stance.
Eric rose leisurely, adjusting his shirt. He then turned toward Hadley with feigned surprise, eyebrows raised in
mock amusement.
“Oh, you're here? Why didn’t you speak up sooner?”
Was he putting on a show?
Hadley forced herself to smile politely. “You seemed busy, Mr. Flynn. | didn’t want to bother you...”
“Busy? Ah, yes.”
Eric suddenly grasped the woman's arm, guiding her forward toward Hadley.
“What's your impression of her?” he asked.
“What do you mean?” Hadley responded, momentarily baffled by the sudden question.
Eric’s tone sharpened with impatience. “I’m asking for your opinion.”
“She...” Hadley hesitated, choosing her words delicately. “She’s very attractive and has a lovely figure.”
The awkwardness hung thick in the air, making it difficult for Hadley to even glance at the other woman.
“Exactly.” Ene flashed an approving smile, examining the woman.
“Allowto introduce you. She’s my new girlfriend.”
“What?”
“Mr. Flynn
Both women reacted simultaneously, stunned.

The woman's face lit up with joy, eyes shimmering with emotion as she reached tentatively toward Eric's hand.
Yet Eric didn’t even spare her a glance, his focus fixed entirely on Hadley
He continued, smiling faintly, “You see, you made a valid point. I'm certainly not desperate. If | wanted girlfriend,
couldn't | easily find one? After all, I'm single now.”
A stark contrast to the four years when their marriage still technically existed
“Of course! You could have a girlfriend if you want.”
Hadley acknowledged gently
But what was his purpose in telling her this?
Was her indifferent response all he sought?
Eric’s expression suddenly darkened, the playful smile vanishing Grasping the woman's hand firmly, he
commanded curtly, “Let’s go.”
“Oh-yes, Mr. Flynn,” she quickly said.
What was going on?
Hadley stood frozen, disbelief flooding her senses. Were they actually going to leave just like that? She hadn't
even mentioned Elissa’s situation yet.
Without thinking twice, Hadley quickly trailed after them.
“Mr. Flynn! | have something important to tell you about Elissa...”
Before she could finish, Eric stopped abruptly, glancing back at her. “I have something urgent to handle.”
Hadley’s heart sank
Did he genuinely not have tfor her? Or was he deliberately brushing her off, hoping she'd give up on her
He definitely wouldn't let Elissa off easily.
“Cwith me,” he said decisively. “We can talk on the way.”
Hadley’s eyes brightened instantly. “Oh! Yes, of course!”

Once in the garage, Erie opened the rear door to his car. The woman automatically started to climb inside. “Who
told you to get in there?” Eric's voice was cool, indifferent.
“Mr. Flynn?” The woman hesitated, confusion clouding her features. Where was she supposed to sit then? Eric
frowned impatiently, nodding toward the front seat “You're riding up front”
“What?” The woman's eyes widened in astonishment.
Hadley was equally taken aback Eric was letting his girlfriend sit in the passenger seat while he wasn’t even
driving? What exactly was happening here?

“Get in!”
Before Hadley could even react, Eric grabbed her wrist and firmly guided her into the backseat.
As the car sped away, Hadley remained dazed, her gaze fixed nervously on the back of Eric's girlfriend seated
comfortably up front. A chill crept down her spine, her palms turning clammy.
“Hey!” Eric’s irritated voice then snapped Hadley attention back to him. He was clearly displeased by her
continuous staring. In a low, commanding tone, he reminded her, “Didn't you have something to tell me?”
“Oh-yes!”
Hadley jolted upright, nervously gripping her knees as she composed herself.
Her voice trembled slightly, yet sincerity colored her words. “Mr. Flynn, about Elissa injuring Linda...”
“What did you just call me?!” Eric's frustration surfaced immediately, his patience thinning. “Mr. Flynn?”
Hadley hesitated. Was something wrong with the way she addressed him? His frown confirmed her suspicion.
What else could she call him?
Tentatively, Hadley tried again, softer this time. “Eric...?"
His expression didn’t soften much, but at least it didn’t darken further. With an impatient wave of his hand, he
signaled her to continue.
Hadley drew a steadying breath. “Elissa didn’t intend to hurt Linda. They had an argument, and Linda
understands this too. She already dropped the lawsuit-"
“So?” Eric rested his chin lazily against his hand, his gaze piercing as he watched her.
“Could you...” Hadley struggled to find the courage to continue. “Could we possibly resolve this amicably? We'll
cover Linda's medical expenses and personally ensure she’s taken care of at the hospital...”
“Ha!” Eric gave a dismissive laugh, scorn evident in his eyes. “Do you think | can’t handle a few medical bills? Or
hire someone to look after her? Do | really look like someone who's lacking funds?”
