Chapter 1603:
“It's no problem at all,” he assured her.
Brady shook his head, still smiling, and opened the passenger door. “Con. Hop in.”
“Thank you, then.” Colleen climbed in without further protest.
Still, curiosity nudged her. “Were you on your way somewhere before you found me?”
Brady gripped the wheel and cast a glance at her. “I was planning to swing by the office, just to check on a few
things. Nothing urgent, though.”
“That's a relief,” she said with a small nod.
The words put Colleen at ease. She hadn't wanted to inconvenience him.

“And you?” Brady asked, shifting the conversation back to her.
Colleen arched a brow playfully. “It’s the weekend—what else would | be doing besides dating?”
Dating? Brady's pulse stuttered. Did she mean she was seeing someone?
He couldn’t bring himself to ask.
Considering their dynamic, it felt too bold—maybe even inappropriate.
Just then, Colleen’s phone buzzed.
“It's your sister.” She glanced at Brady before answering. “Hey, Hadley. My car broke down, but I'm on my way.
Go ahead and order, and eat if you're hungry. I'm with Brady—we’ll be there soon.”
Brady couldn't stop the smile tugging at his lips. So, she was meeting Hadley, not a boyfriend date.
His fingers tapped idly against the steering wheel, almost unconsciously. Still, a thought crept in—was Colleen
seeing someone these days?
When Colleen and Brady arrived at the restaurant, the private room was already buzzing with warmth and
laughter.

With Joy and Locke around, the atmosphere was anything but quiet—their cheerful energy filled every corner of
the space.
The duo had arrived a little late. By then, the kids had finished eating and were now playing nearby, under the
watchful eyes of Melba and Locke's nanny.
“Colleen! Brady!” Hadley called out, waving them over eagerly. “Come, quick!”
“Sorry we're late,” Colleen said with an apologetic smile as they approached the table. Brady quietly pulled out a
chair for her. “Here, sit.”
“Thanks,” Colleen said with a grateful grin, taking the seat he offered.
Brady settled into the chair beside her.
“You two...” Hadley eyed them curiously, a teasing smile playing on her lips. “Did you plan to show up together?”
Colleen laughed and waved it off. “Of course not! Total coincidence.” She leaned forward with a grin. “Honestly, |
owe Brady big ttoday. If he hadn't stepped in, | would've been totally lost...”
Animated and full of energy, she launched into the story of what had happened earlier, her words coming in a
cheerful, rapid stream. While she spoke, Elissa quietly went to find their waiter, requested fresh plates and
cutlery, and added two more dishes to the order.
“Your brother is such a lifesaver,” Colleen said warmly, glancing at Brady and giving his shoulder a light,
appreciative pat.
