Chapter 699 Care for Them on Your Behalf
Graham would have said yes to her request without hesitation if she had said that
yesterday. He would even feel glad that this daughter of his had become sensible.
Everything was too late now.
Graham threw the newspaper he was reading to Jolene. He said nothing and continued
eating breakfast.
Jolene was puzzled but still lowered her head to look at the newspaper. Her eyes widened
in disbelief in the next second, and an incredulous expression overtook her features.
"This...these reporters are simply spouting nonsense."
The newspaper reported extensively on her moving to James' villa last night. Some
speculated that they were about to marry, while others said she was shameless. There
were all sorts of comments, and most of them weren't positive.
"Dad, I was too impulsive yesterday. I shouldn't have moved in with him so soon." Jolene
apologized with her head down. She'd rarely admitted her mistakes all these years.

Jolene was helpless, so she could only turn to look to her mother, who was sitting beside
her, for help. Of course, Rowena knew very well what Graham was thinking at that
moment. She knew that even if she spoke up for Jolene, it would probably have no effect.
But at the end of the day, the matter concerned her daughter. So, she could only bite the
bullet and speak up, "It's only been one night. It shouldn't have a big impact even if she
moves back."
"Rowena, did you not see the comments online? Everyone in Bardoff City knows about it.
How can you say it won't have a big impact?" Jenny
sneered and spoke up. Since Jolene had moved out, she wouldn't give her a chance to
return to the Walters.
"Weren't you so eager to move out? Why did you change your mind overnight? Could it be
that you suddenly don't like James anymore?" Jenny mocked, sarcasm lacing her tone.
Jolene's expression darkened as she bit her lip. "I thought I should stay home to care for
my parents instead of leaving in a hurry."
"Oh? Now you remember your parents? That's not what you said before when you wanted
to leave." Jenny didn't hold back. Taking care of her parents? Only someone with thick skin
like her could say such things unabashedly.
Jolene glared at her, wishing to tear her apart, "Jenny, I know you don't like me, but you
can't deprive me of my right to care for my parents."
Jenny chuckled sarcastically. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of them on our behalf."
"Jenny..."
"Enough!" Graham interrupted the two icily, and Jolene dared not speak again.
"Dad." Jolene looked at Graham pitifully, trying to soften his heart with that approach. She
didn't know that in Graham's heart, she was no longer his daughter after she did
something so outrageous.
Graham gave a dismissive wave, obviously not wanting to hear anything from her
anymore.

"Have your breakfast and hurry back. Since you've decided to become a Windsor, you
should come here less in the future. Otherwise, outsiders will think that we didn't raise you
well."
"Dad..." Jolene was about to cry.
Unfortunately, Graham had already gotten up and left without giving her another glance,
no matter how wronged she felt.
After he left, Jolene's expression immediately became ferocious. "Jenny! Why do you have
to keep going after me?"
"Why would you think that way? I didn't do anything." On the contrary, Jenny thought
Jolene was the one who was always going after her instead.
"Did you say something to James to make him hate me so much?" At this point, Jolene was
still trying to put the blame on other people.
She didn't think she was wrong-she believed that although her methods were incorrect, it
was all in the name of love. If James was willing to give her a chance, they would surely
become a loving couple.
But since James wasn't willing to do that, Jolene concluded that Jenny was playing tricks
behind the scenes. Pushing the blame onto others made her feel better about herself.
