Seeing the scene before her worsen, Veron began to grow anxious yet again.
She barely thought twice before she dashed forward, straight into Skylar's back.
Veron had originally planned to wait until Master Magaera had injured Skylar to attack, but it seemed like that
was going to take a while to happen. She had to do something.
Seeing all of Skylar's attention focused on Master Magaera, Veron knew she had to strike before it was too late.
Buzz!
In the blink of an eye, Veron was right behind Skylar. Channeling all her internal energy, she pushed it out.
"Veron?"
Sensing danger from behind him, Skylar knew something was up. He whipped his head back. At the sight of
Veron, his heart thudded with a crash. At the same time, realization dawned on him.
"You're dead meat!"
Skylar cried out as it dawned on him as he tried to awaken the soul sucking bloodworm in Veron's body.
What surprised him was that Veron did not react at all. In fact, she could not sense the
aura of the soul-sucking bloodworm anymore.

At the look on his face, Veron's feline eyes narrowed with smugness and resentment on
her delicate face. "I bet you didn't see this coming, huh? Here's what happened. I've cured
myself of the soul-sucking bloodworm with glazed water, and now you can control me no

"I swear to avenge the death of my mother at your ruthless hands! No mercy for you!"
As the words rang, energy burst from Veron's entire body as she landed a slap on Skylar's
back/
"Sect Master!"
"Watch out..."
Seeing the scene before them unfold, the Five Poison Sect disciples watching from below
could not help their shocked gasps.
At the same time, a figure could be seen soaring over. It seemed to be in a rush.
It was Kendall/
After blocking off the entire Five Poison Sect, Kendall had soared here to fight without a

had moved too fast, and Master Magaera was in his way as well. Skylar had no time to
react at all.

Veron's hand landed heavily on Skylar's back, with a series of dull quakes followed by a
low grunt from Skylar, he had been sent flying.

below as an overwhelming wave of pain took over his senses. Skylar was breaking out in a cold sweat.
He knew his spiritual energy had just been knocked completely askew. His aura was going haywire, he was close
to passing out.
To tell the truth, Veron's skills would have been no match for that of Skylar on any other occasions. It was just
that Skylar had just been dueling against Master Magaera, causing a great dent in his spiritual energy. This had
given Veron advantage in the situation.

Skylar's forehead beaded with sweat, his gaze poisonous as that of a python. He glared sharply at Veron.
Veron's hand had been incredibly strong. Thank god he had the Spiritual Shield preserve at least a bit of his
strength, or he would have been dead.
"Sect Master!!"
Just then, Kendall came rushing over, she cried out to Skylar, "Are you alright?" as she made to help him up.
"Leave me be, I'll get out alive!"
Skylar roared, pointing at Veron in mid-air. "Kill her, kill her now... II
Skylar's eyes were bloodshot as she spat the words out. He seemed to have gone insane.
Skylar had always gotten whatever and whoever he wanted ever since he stepped foot into the world. He was
