Darryl scratched his head and said gently with a smile, "I just met Maverick, so we're
not too close."
"You just met him?"
Lolita frowned slightly; she was even more puzzled!
Darryl thought about it and began making up stories. "How should I say this? Well,

Darryl sighed before he smiled and said, "Fool!
Because I am your husband!"

Lolita was startled when she heard Darryl's reply. A trace of ripples appeared in the depths
of her heart; she was a little moved and a little shy.
The atmosphere turned slightly weird.
After a few seconds, Lolita reacted, she was blushing when she whispered, "It's getting
late. Let's go back!"

Darryl nodded and went home with Lolita.
Early the following day, Damien sent his servants to wake Lolita and Darryl.
Darryl did as he promised. Even though he shared a room with Lolita, he had always slept
on the floor. After learning that Damien might need help, he quickly got up, washed up,
and went to the main hall with Lolita.
After Darryl and Lolita arrived at the hall, they saw that Damien was very happy.
He was laughing.
When Darryl and Lolita got into the hall, Damien told them excitedly, "Lolita, we've
got good news! The McClaren family had just sent someone here. They will withdraw
from all the projects that we're working on together. Spices, seafood, all of them!"
"We now own all those projects!" He laughed again.

The businesses involved in those industries were lucrative. The McClaren family had
always tried to oust the Damien family so that they could monopolize the business.
It was surprising that they would announce their withdrawal from the business.
Nonetheless, it was great news for the Damien family. The McClaren family's decision
was only beneficial to the Damien family. Hence, it was something worth celebrating.

Lolita trembled when she heard the news, she was overjoyed and excited.
What a piece of great news to start the day! Did the McClaren family finally have a
conscience over their actions?
Darry broke into a grin. He was not overly excited about the news.
Of course, Darryl knew what was going on. Last night, he made peace with Maverick
and forced Grady to write a note about withdrawing from the business. Darryl
thought Grady would take his own sweet time to materialize what he had promised,
but he was surprised that Grady was rather prompt.
