It turned out to be zhang Jue's apprentice, Karen.
Darryl scowled at the sight of Karen. He never liked her at all because she was

Darryl was vexed and said in a sulky tone, "I repeat, I did not collude with the Raksasa

Karen trembled when she sensed Darryl’s forbidding aura. “You....”

"Why are you following me?" Darryl stopped and asked!

nothing to do with them so why the reaction? Are you afraid of me checking on you?" 2
Darryl groaned and warned Karen in a stern tone, " Okay, you can come with me, but let's be clear about this. If
something happens, follow my orders! ” Darryl felt conflicted about allowing Karen to stay with him. He disliked the
idea of a woman like Karen doing an investigation with him, but Jack and his followers made strange appearances.
For the sake of the wellbeing of the people, he set aside his personal grievances.
"Why should I listen to you?" Karen replied curtly.
‘This person is my Master's number one enemy. If I submit myself under his command, how will I face my Master in
the future?’ she thought.
"If you don't want to listen to me then go on and do your own investigation. I'll do mine," Darryl said.
"Alright, fine!" Karen was irritated, but she still nodded and agreed.
The poison in her body had not been completely eliminated, so she was not as powerful. It was too dangerous for
her to wander by herself and investigate the event.
Darryl frowned and sneered when Karen finally agreed to his terms. "Don't think that I don't know what you’re
thinking. If you’re thinking about using me, you can give up now.”
With that said, Darryl walked straight out of the palace!

Karen was not in a good mood, yet she had no choice but to keep up with Darryl!
They left the palace and noticed that the streets of the Royal City were empty. The
fierce fighting in the palace must have scared the people witless and they all went into
hiding.

stretched all the way past the north gate and toward the northern mountain of the
Royal City.
Darryl went all the way to the north without hesitation.
After about nearly two hours, Karen and Darryl arrived at the top of a barren mountain.
The two stopped and looked down the mountain.
Karen was inexplicably shocked along the journey. ‘ When did the Raksasa Tribe
become so powerful that they not only forced the Master to flee, but also arrested
people from the major sects in The Nine Continents?’
After several hours, Darryl suddenly slowed down his pace and looked extremely
solemn.
Somewhere in the woods ahead of him, he saw the people from all the major sects of
The Nine Continent tied up. They were advancing forward, escorted by Jack’s followers.
Jack was at the forefront, holding a strange thing in his hand as he observed the
surrounding terrain.
‘What is he looking for?’ Darryl frowned and muttered secretly in his heart!
